I've been working on getting to Apalachicola for years ever since reading a glowing article referring to it as the "oyster capital of the world". Finally made it, chose The Station and couldn't have been more pleased. The raw oysters were tied for #1 in my book (Bilbao, Spain's were equally sweet and fresh) and the staff were an absolute hoot. I can't wait to go back and get another couple dozen.
The Station Raw Bar is a wonderful refit of an old gas station that now serves lights out local favorites. I had the baked oyster sampler with the Rockefeller, Station, and Cap’n Jack oysters. Each was amazing, but the Cap’n Jack oysters were the clear winner. I followed that with the Grilled Sausage Dog which was also amazing. Great food in a great location.

The food was very good, especially if you wanted fresh seafood. They specialize in local oysters, some of the best in the country. My wife got a Philly Cheese steak, and it was one of the best. The portions were more than adequate, and the service was excellent. Also the prices were very reasonable.
