“We enjoyed the atmosphere and the oysters. My husband and brother-in-law had the seafood gumbo. I thought it was pretty pricey for a bowl at $18.50 and they both said there was no seafood in it..just broth and rice a small pieces. Must have been scooped from the top as we see most people enjoyed it. They were very disappointed.“
“First meal of vacation and did not disappoint. Had the best coconut shrimp of my life. Also had fried grouper, calamari, coleslaw and sweet potato fires. Everything was so well prepared and tasty. An order at the counter and pick your seat place but service was great and staff are very friendly!Wheelchair accessibility: Elevator up to restaurant level and all accessible.“
“I used Tamara's to carter my wedding October 2023, it was so delicious and the set up looked great! Danny was such a pleasure to work with. We saw him out the night before the wedding and he came right up to us and talked with us for quite a bit. He is such a great guy and amazing chef. We aren't local to the area, but frequent 3-4 times a year and we always make sure to stop by Tamara's On the Go at least once or twice for lunch. The food is always so delicious, and will not disappoint!“
“It was perfect! Outside seating was great. The waitress was extremely helpful. We had the Oysters Rockefeller. So good!! Their Mac and cheese was really good. But, the Banana Pudding Cheese cake was wonderful. It is a must!!!! The flavors were blended so well that you had to remind yourself that it was a cheesecake. We ordered 2 and reordered more.“
“Stop in as for the name of Up to No Good Tavern which is part of this restaurant. Great flat bread - I had the Olive flatbread with mozzarella and Parmesan, it was great! The drinks were good- I enjoyed my Bloody Mary. Staff very pleasant.“
“Came for Sunday brunch. Oysters were just ok but the Franklin tartine was really good. Service was lackadaisical. I asked for more water and 15 minutes later, without any water, our waitress returned and asked if we wanted anything else. I guess water was in short supply.“
“Beautiful old restored building, we went for an early lunch on a weekday, it was not busy. Sadly we weren't seated by a window, we were in the piano lounge near the piano and their wine room, which was nice and quiet. The gumbo was really good, big hunks of gator, whole shrimp, the broth was very flavorful. I do wish they'd used some younger okra, the piece I got in the gumbo was very hard and unable to be chewed completely. That did not discourage me from eating it all. I had the Tripletail Reuben, it was delicious. The rye was toasted and very fresh and light, the fish piece wasn't skimpy, cooked beautifully, served at the perfect temperature, the kraut not too sour and the sauce not too sweet. My husband had the fried shrimp and he said they were great. I would eat here again. But I think I'll ask for the window seat next time ?.“
“we have stayed here for over 20yr everything was above and beyond but this year was a bummer we had cabin number 21 and it should be torn down it was deplorable the floor in one bedroom was bad you barely could walk on it,bathtub had black scum all around it, tolet seat was loose and falling off the last night there I had things taken off my boatRooms: cabin 21 should be torn downFood & drinks: food was good“
“Came a little after 1 on a Wednesday- happened to be a day a storm was coming in so everyone was out and about shopping. The Owl Tap Room was busy and only had 1 server/ bartender. My sister and I had books and weren’t in a hurry but could see how someone that was could be frustrated. The food was good! Got a half. Tan dip- I typically like a hot crab dip but this was cold and very flavorful with yummy homemade tortilla chips. We had the wings breaded - worth it! And shared a the pasta carbonara with grilled shrimp. It was pretty good - large portion. Also had a side of fries - they were good but we didn’t need them and didn’t really get eaten. Chill, no rush spot. Shared a chocolate mousse cake - I wouldn’t call it a cake- it is chocolate mousse on top of a nut crumble - super rich and drizzled with chocolate and caramel I believe. It was good!“
“Awesome food and awesome service. We will definitely be back! We got drinks at Oyster Brewery and the walked over and ate at Tamara’s Cafe. It was wonderful walking outside to everything and the kids enjoyed themselves too! It was very nice to sit and eat while having the view next to the bay.Kid-friendliness: Stationary food truck with picnic tables and great outside atmosphere!“
“The food was very good, especially if you wanted fresh seafood. They specialize in local oysters, some of the best in the country. My wife got a Philly Cheese steak, and it was one of the best. The portions were more than adequate, and the service was excellent. Also the prices were very reasonable.“
