“Great home-cooked food. The service was top notch. I remember eating at Po Folks in the 80's. The quality of food hasn't changed one bit. It's unprecedented for a restaurant to maintain that kind of food quality for over 40 years. If you want a home-cooked meal and want generous portions look no further than Po Folks.“
“Food was great. Service was laughable, but it wasn't the fault of the server. She was busy working the register and was swamped with online & walk-in takeout orders. I didn't even realize she was supposed to be our server until after I gave up waiting for a server; we sat at a table for 15 minutes until I just placed an online takeout order because no one showed up to take drink orders or anything. Went to the counter to pay and wait. That's when I saw her take a plated order from the kitchen to the one other person in the dining room, and I realized she was also taking care of the dining room in addition to all the takeout customers. Again, food was great, but either wait until they have a dedicated server for the dining room or simply order takeout. I'll stress this: the dining situation was clearly not her fault. She was just trying to do two separate jobs at once.“
“I had the combo platter #2 with shrimp, fish, and you get to choose 2 sides which I chose the potato salad and french fries. Good amount of food and was fried just right. Also I got the fried sampler with the gator bites, fried pickles, ragoon, fried jalapenos and cheese bites. Also good amount of food and the gator was perfect. Other reviews say they are tender and I agree 100%! Excellent service and I got both dishes for under $50 which served 2 and there was still some left over. I would highly recommend the fried sampler!“
“Great local place. We sat at the bar and had a fun night. Bartender was very knowledgeable and attentive on top of being a real cool dude in general. We had the shrimp/grits and the gumbo which were very tasty. If you're not sitting at the bar prepare to wait for a table.“
“Our food was good, but the presentation had a lot to be desired. Our waitress Sarah was ok, but not very attentive. We were disappointed that there was no bread so I ordered some side bread. It was a large dry croissant looking thing that was returned. Then here comes Ansley and saves the day. She was very attentive and was concerned with how we liked our meals..If we had a single reason to return, it would be Ansley. She was great!“
“Gene's has been in business for many years and recently changed hands in ownership. We finally had an opportunity to have lunch there today. I had the fresh mullet basket and my husband the fried oyster basket. We both ordered cheese grits and fried okra for our 2 sides. Everything was good, although our grits did not appear to have cheese in them (?). I also ordered a side of mullet roe and tried it. It was not my favorite, it was so big, but now I can say I've tried it. Jeffrey, our server, was very friendly, and we enjoyed our visit. We hope to visit again soon.“
“This is one of my favorite places in town I love Uncle Ernie's and when I want to show somebody a good time a beautiful view and great food I take them to Uncle Ernie's. My son even got married last week we had a small wedding and after the wedding we had to Uncle Arnie's. Uncle Ernie's is my everything restaurant“
“OMGrouper! The pecan crusted grouper my wife ordered was amazing. I had the island shrimp - excellent blend of flavors. The fried corn on the cob and fried green beans were great. It was a fun atmosphere. You can sit and feed the fish while you eat! Wait time was under 30 minutes in a Friday night. Fun and great food!“
“We really enjoyed this restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding! It was very kid friendly and our 3 grandchildren, 7, 5, and 3, really loved the play tables at the front of the restaurant. It helped their parents enjoy their meal and the kids happily ate when their food when it was ready.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly! See comments above.“
“This is a spectacular place to dine , situated in the heart of the lagoons where you get a true taste of local seafood and an array of food items from the menu , the staff is properly trained in which keeps you coming back , I've been there more than 10 times and I'm looking forward to going again . Spectacular view of the lagoons , wonderful place to go have a drink for a view and also dine . Owners did a great job with this establishment“
“Wow. How have I not eaten here before this. I had the seafood boil. It was extremely satisfying and I soo was wanting some good seafood. It's small in size but the food was better then many of the larger restaurants. I see takeout in my future.“
“Outstanding. We were passing through on Easter Sunday and decided to try it. All reservations were full but there was a place at the bar for my wife and I. Will and Derrick were the best bar tenders. We loved the bloody Mary’s. But the highlight was absolutely the eggs Benedict on home made crab cakes. The accompanying Parmesan grits were awesome too. Thank you for a great food experience and service. We’ll definitely be back.“
“Was a great experience for me and my friends! We were visiting Florida for Spring Break and decided to try it out. Service was amazing, staff was awesome and friendly, and the food was awesome! Anytime I’m back in town I will definitely be back!“
“Love the food, love the environment, love the staff. If I had to complain of one thing is there is no separate window/employee for Togo orders. I occasionally order at lunch time right before 12, and then have to wait in a long line for 20 min to just pickup my food, the line is NOT quick. On the phone I’m always told there is no line, everytime I get there though there is a long line obviously because food is great. I just wish there was a better solution!“
“The food is a tad expensive for what you get, I could tell my veggies were out of a can and my snapper portion was a little on the small side for the price I paid. Tuna dip was ok. The oysters both raw and baked were delicious and my service was great!“
“Called in takeout order (after checking out favorable health department inspection) for 25 boneless and 25 traditional wings. Service was impeccable during entire transaction. Wings are quite small but reasonable for the price. They were fresh and had great flavor. Only negative is that celery is placed in styrofoam container with hot wings so it was basically cooked when we got home and inedible. Kindly honored 10% Veteran's discount. Will return.“
“The Ribeye steak is a good size for the price and was extremely tasty.Rolls are a nice bonus and also taste great.Staff were very welcoming and friendly.More expensive than Texas Roadhouse but you have a more relaxed venue and friendlier staff.“
“I came for the sweets! Millie’s has great Beignets. My husband and I love to try Beignets at various restaurants when we’re traveling & these are fresh, hot, tasty & tiny. Definitely recommend! I sat in the courtyard, whose neighboring wall is covered in a gorgeous honeybee mural. The actual restaurant is very small, but one of those hole-in-the-wall places you can’t beat. I asked a man inside how he was and he replied, “Great, now,” as he took another huge bite of sandwich. Locals love it. ?Parking: Street parking all over the downtown area!Kid-friendliness: Kid-friendly, mother approved ?Wheelchair accessibility: Very accommodating“
“My husband and I really like coming to Harrison’s restaurant and eating outside. We can watch the sunset while we are enjoying our dinner. It is also dog friendly if you eat outside, they bring your dog fresh water , and they also have a doggy menu . The food is very good ,( even the dogs food looks yummy !) the service is excellent, and we love the atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant, however Friday and Saturday evenings are pretty busy, long waiting times.“
“Their steak and eggs brunch can’t be beat. Top it off with their bucket of mimosas and you have a great experience. They give you a bottle of sparkling moscato and a side of oj so you can balance your mimosa the way you like. Oh yeah, best carrot cake in town.“
“We were looking for locals place to get a drinks and dinner that wasn't on the beach or I the spring break crowd. C Level hit all the marks, we sat at the bar, great and friendly service from Ben the bartender. The wife a killer Blackberry Mojito and I had a few beers. We got dinner, a loaded burger and shrimp and grits. Both were excellent despite the place filling quickly with guests. It was our type of place and crowd, older and lively. We will definitely put this one in for a return trip.“
“The garden salad only has lettuce and a few slices of tomato. I asked for a little cheese to put on my salad that my waiter never brought me. Also, you didn't have tuna which we were not told until we ordered it and then the waiter had to wait while we rushed to decide what to order instead. The rest of our food was good but you need to improve the salad and let people know what isn't available before they order. I don't think we will be back.“
“This is a great spot. Yes I missed out on their blue crab, but when things come in fresh it’s first in first out. Their snow crab is good, but their fresh raw oysters are excellent. They are the smaller ones, but this that love oysters know the small ones taste so much better than the large ones. The key lime pie is pretty good too. Being from the the Texas Gulf Coast, I will be back.“
“Very pleasant place. The staff is friendly and the food is good. I had the debris sandwich, delish. My boyfriend had the grouper sandwich, fried. It was very lightly fried in the pan, not battered and fried. It was probably Hake, but it was still good. The waffle fries were hot and tasty. I recommend this place for lunch. I have not tried them for dinner yet, but the menu is interesting, and I will stop by again.“
“I recommend the Crafty Crab to anyone looking for exceptional seafood! The portions are impressive, the selection was good and the flavor of all the seasonings made this THE best seafood I’ve ever had in a long time! The atmosphere gave off a local vibe. The service was great, our server wasn’t around too much or absent for too long. She kept our drinks full and made sure we were well taken care of. The prices were reasonable as well. Overall this place was a perfect place to have a date night with my husband! We will definitely be frequenting the Crafty Crab a lot more often! It was well worth every penny spent!“
“I was getting disappointed by the long wait but the tasty oysters and the incredible sunset view which I got negates all the disappointment that I had to face when I had to wait for a long time. The servers felt enthusiastic in working there and they were interested in showing customers their menu :)“
“This is always a go to destination. Have never had a bad meal or server in the many times we have been there to eat. I love their Greek salad and stuffed grouper. Others had the seafood platter and stuffed flounder. Everything was excellent. Drinks were also great.“
“Great little spot so glad I found it!!! Friends brought me here and wanted to eat early because the place is always so busy- I can see why, the food is excellent the prices are reasonable- I mean really a great value for seafood... Wonderful atmosphere and the service was excellent everyone was smiling that worked there!“
