The food and atmosphere are what you expect it to be. Your grandmother's home cooking - if your grandmother cooked everything from cans and frozen bags.GREAT wait staff. Very punctual and attentive.
This restaurant is more down home and casual, clean and inviting. They offer Southern home-style food that is well-prepared, tasty (comfort food). My friend loves the whole catfish and I enjoy the chicken fried steak or grilled/country fried pork chops with mashed potatoes and white gravy. Great coleslaw, greens, and red beans and rice! Great home-cooked food. The service was top notch. I remember eating at Po Folks in the 80's. The quality of food hasn't changed one bit.
