“Came here at 11:10 am had a good experience, men’s bathrooms were clean (rare for any place), place was clean, food was good, the name on the bag was different from what I put, (I think it was my fault because it wasn’t my account I used but I put my name on the order), but the people helped me out and I just had to prove it was my order and I got my food. I actually forgot the cup I ordered with my food and as I was walking away they called me and reminded me and that was pretty nice of them. “I’m a regular at this location, and the staff is the reason why. To say they’re friendly is an understatement. Management should give a big thank you to James, because he’s the only reason I keep coming back. He’s the only bartender (anymore) at this location that cares about your day and is attentive. “Don’t be fooled by any of the negative reviews. These are THE BEST tacos in Florida. Absolutely amazing. My fiancé and I are from the west coast and she’s from Southern California. So the Mexican food on the west v.s. The east are extremely different. In my opinion Florida tacos are typically quite lackluster compared to those of the WEST. THIS STAND IS THE EXCEPTION!!! The location stuck out to me as it seems to be parked in someone’s driveway when you pull up. But YES IT IS THE RIGHT PLACE! PHENOMENAL TACOS FROM A PHENOMENAL COUPLE FOLKS! They were both very nice. Gave us plenty of extra sauce. And this was EVERYTHING FOR MY FIANCÉ and I ❤️

“I am mexican and my family and I have never truly ever had a good authentic mexican meal outside of our home. However, La Pitaya completely changed our world and is legit the only place my traditional parents enjoy going for mexican food when we dont feel like cooking. Their service is quick and friendly, the food is truly authentic and flavorful, they even make the tortillas fresh which is so hard to find nowadays in “authentic” mexican restaurants. This place is definitely worth a try if youre looking for a new mexican place!“

“If you're looking for a Chic commercial style Mexican restaurant with an extensive menu, this place is not for you.

This is a cozy little family style restaurant like you would expect to encounter in a small town in Mexico. It's located in a strip mall and has limited seating.

The server was friendly and took our order cheerfully in spite of the fact we were just getting a couple of appetizers. I ordered a beef taco which was a small soft tortilla but I was surprised to find slices of beef instead of ground beef. It was served with chopped onions and cilantro on the side. At $3.50 it was a good bang for your buck. My wife told me the guacamole was the best she ever had.

They do have the usual fare like fajitas, burritos, etc but we were just coming from a show and only wanted a little nosh.“

They’ve never disappointed, there’s another taco truck in front of them and we came a little too close to closing for them so they turned us away but we came here and they made time to serve us and we’re so kind about it. Their carne asada tacos are really good and they always remember to put no onions when I ask which is so huge because every place always forgets. Such a good spot because they’re open pretty late when you want real mexican tacos.“

The queso is way fresher than other places and they have both regular and spicy. I got the regular and it was so good. The surf and turf bowl with steak and shrimp was fresh, flavorful, and really hit the spot.

Staff was super friendly, and if you sign up for rewards you get free chips and queso which is a nice bonus. The shaved ice was amazing too.
