“Came here at 11:10 am had a good experience, men’s bathrooms were clean (rare for any place), place was clean, food was good, the name on the bag was different from what I put, (I think it was my fault because it wasn’t my account I used but I put my name on the order), but the people helped me out and I just had to prove it was my order and I got my food. I actually forgot the cup I ordered with my food and as I was walking away they called me and reminded me and that was pretty nice of them. I think the reviews are too harsh I didn’t see anything wrong“

“BLACK people be ware for bar seating. The food is good, drinks are tasty, and honestly the service wasn’t bad. However, what I found odd was being asked for my card to hold on file after ordering my initial drink. I didn’t see an issue with it at first, thought it was restaurant policy, no problem. That was until I watched 4 Caucasian people leave the restaurant cashing out without having received a card back. I thought maybe I missed the interaction. But no, a new pair of Caucasian guest join the bar, order a beer and received the beer WITHOUT providing a card.

Now when I brought this to the attention of the bartender that just clocked in; my initial one was elsewhere. She had 20 reasons ready to regurgitate like she’d been practicing on her way to work. She assured me it was nothing other than they have expensive ingredients and don’t want to have to foot the cost should someone run out on their tab and that the new couple sitting without a card in the register had to be a simple oversight. I smell BS and in today’s climate I much respect overt racism and discrimination over covert. The devil you know..

Anyhow, Christina is the name on my receipt.- not sure if she was the one with the excuses or the one that took my card, either way, if you’re Black, you may want to dine in or find elsewhere to eat.“

“Don’t be fooled by any of the negative reviews. These are THE BEST tacos in Florida. Absolutely amazing. My fiancé and I are from the west coast and she’s from Southern California. So the Mexican food on the west v.s. The east are extremely different. In my opinion Florida tacos are typically quite lackluster compared to those of the WEST. THIS STAND IS THE EXCEPTION!!! The location stuck out to me as it seems to be parked in someone’s driveway when you pull up. But YES IT IS THE RIGHT PLACE! PHENOMENAL TACOS FROM A PHENOMENAL COUPLE FOLKS! They were both very nice. Gave us plenty of extra sauce. And this was EVERYTHING FOR MY FIANCÉ and I ❤️

“I am mexican and my family and I have never truly ever had a good authentic mexican meal outside of our home. However, La Pitaya completely changed our world and is legit the only place my traditional parents enjoy going for mexican food when we dont feel like cooking. Their service is quick and friendly, the food is truly authentic and flavorful, they even make the tortillas fresh which is so hard to find nowadays in “authentic” mexican restaurants. This place is definitely worth a try if youre looking for a new mexican place!“

“If you're looking for a Chic commercial style Mexican restaurant with an extensive menu, this place is not for you.

This is a cozy little family style restaurant like you would expect to encounter in a small town in Mexico. It's located in a strip mall and has limited seating.

The server was friendly and took our order cheerfully in spite of the fact we were just getting a couple of appetizers. I ordered a beef taco which was a small soft tortilla but I was surprised to find slices of beef instead of ground beef. It was served with chopped onions and cilantro on the side. At $3.50 it was a good bang for your buck. My wife told me the guacamole was the best she ever had.

They do have the usual fare like fajitas, burritos, etc but we were just coming from a show and only wanted a little nosh.“

Their carne asada tacos are really good and they always remember to put no onions when I ask which is so huge because every place always forgets. “great Mexican spot! we have gotten the pollo asado, nachos, chips and queso, bowl (chicken and steak), quesadillas and all have been very very good. solid kids menu as well - classic kids items as well as kids portion of the pollo asado with the spanish rice and black beans. they have black beans, refried beans and pinto beans options which is great because i feel like most mexican places only have refried beans. we tried the flautas once but they weren't our cup of tea. still would recommend - great menu something for everyone“

“This place is known for two thing and its there tortillas and there services.the tortilla is made with maseca Mexicana. The tortillas are sold by pound and each pound contains about 18-22 tortillas they sell big tortillas for burritos and small tortillas for tacos. If you need tortillas for a party don't be afraid to call them ask for 50 pounds if you want they'll give it to you.“
