This is the 1st time we've ordered from this location.

The footlong Italian and brisket sub we got was very good. Everything tasted fresh and the meat was good quality.

But what really impressed me was the well dressed (blue dress) very presentable lady that was busy cleaning up. I can only assume she was an owner or general manager. Even though she was with her family, and definitely not dressed to clean, she was busy laying down clean mats, wiping down counters and making sure I picked up my order, since I was in lala land lol. We'll definitely be back!

Way over priced for a sandwich imo. $18 for a footlong is ridiculous.

Update: Firehouse reached out and was very apologetic and took this seriously. They were very generous and made it all right on our part. Thank you Firehouse.

I dont like sharing bad reviews but I feel like this one is needed. Stopped in for lunch on Sunday, May 17th. We live in Lakeland and always go to that Firehouse. Its my favorite sub shop. I was happy to see one near by our ball tournament while we were searching for lunch in between games. Ill just get right to the issues. The AC was broken inside but they did have mobile units hooked up inside trying their best to keep it cool. It was warm but cooler than outside. Next I ordered our meal to go but decided to stay and eat, glad I did because they shorted my daughter on her kids meal cookie and when we went and asked about it, they said they were still baking. So I guess if we did decide to leave we were just out of luck? You couldnt tell us at the register or tell us to grab chips instead? Anyways, my wife went to get my daughter a drink from the freestyle coke machine and the ice had black mold pieces coming out with it into the cup. Obviously no one cleans that machine. The sprite had pieces of something floating in it. Probably more mildew inside the lines from a lack of proper cleaning. I rebuild equipment, including ice machines, for a living so I know a dirty machine when I see it. The last issue, shortly after eating lunch, my wife and I developed a stomach ache and that had been the first thing we had eatin all day and the only thing until dinner many hour later. My wives only lasted a day, however im going on day 3 with some bloating and abdominal discomfort since eating there. I have a strong feeling that since the ice machine isn't maintained, other food safety precautions aren't either such as food temperature. That along with a warmer than normal inside since the air conditioner isn't working, probably caused the food to get above 41 and since they weren't busy, it probably stayed at an elevated temp for some time. Its a gross, not maintained store and unfortunately we wont be back. I really hope the manager or GM sees this and fixes the issues before others get sick. I did do the feedback survery they sent me but failed to mention the stomach issues.

I cannot recommend this Firehouse subs. Management continually is unable to restock. They are very often out of Roast Beef, Pastrami, Brisket and other offered products. It can't be supply chain because all other Firehouse subs in area never have an issue. Also notice they are quick to respond to positive reviews but never respond to negative reviews and attempt to explain the issues and you get no answers from the employees just Manager is not available which explains it all.

Ordered food. Missing food, drinks, chili was cold, and sub was made wrong. For a place that supports first responders you would think they would have better standards for customer service.

The attitude this employees and manager have its out of this world, will definitely not come back to this location i rather go 30 minutes away to my next closest firesub than this one that is only 3 minutes away! very dissapointed
