Took my Dad here because it was close to his house and I've never been. The service was very slow, we waited 20 minutes after our appetizer. They only have fried calamari , no sushi. And it was chewy, but freshly made. A bunch of young waitresses. I got the Green Dragon, I've definitely had better. It was bland and the rolls fell apart when I tried to dip them. Too much cucumber and not enough eel. It was edible, I ate all of it, but like I said, I've had better

Fantastic place. I got the Wakame roll and Yellowtail sashimi. The meal, presentation, and quality are all top notch. The service was spectacular. Atmosphere is calm and inviting. I found my new favorite local Japanese restaurant. I encourage all sushi lovers to visit. It's right off the highway and well worth the stop.

If you’re anywhere near Auburndale, you absolutely have to try Wakame Japanese and Thai Cuisine — this place is phenomenal!
The flavors are incredible across the board. The sushi rolls are fresh, beautifully prepared, and packed with flavor — easily some of the best in the area. The seaweed salad is a standout too: perfectly seasoned, crisp, and refreshing. Every dish tastes like it’s made with care and high-quality ingredients.
What really made the experience exceptional, though, was the service. Alli was amazing — friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. She made great recommendations and made us feel completely taken care of from start to finish.
Between the awesome sushi, delicious food, relaxing atmosphere, and outstanding service, this place is a total win. Highly recommend — we’ll definitely be coming back!
