Olima provided an excellent lunch experience that exceeded my expectations. The elegant ambiance and attentive staff set the stage for a culinary delight. Each dish was a masterpiece, with fresh and perfectly balanced flavors. Impeccable service made it a memorable occasion. Highly recommended for a truly unforgettable dining experience.
Excellent food! Best sea food I’ve ever had!
We attended O'Lima with a group of Peruvians from Lima, but unfortunately, they were underwhelmed. The soup was tasteless, the ceviche overcooked, and the Lomo Saltado conveyed an aftertaste indicating it had been held in inventory too long. There are much better Peruvian restaurants at this price point.
Restaurant was empty when we walked in - only one other table with a couple at 8pm. That should've been our sign to leave. It was silent in the restaurant- no music was being played. The staff was very friendly however not as knowledgeable as they should've been. Server did a great job checking in and refilling our sparkling water. We asked the server if they could play some music - the silence was deafening. We ordered the appetizer sampler - not great at all and not worth the price. The potato balls were dry and not seasoned, they were difficult to eat. For my entree I had the skirt steak with pesto pasta - the pesto was thick like paste - not enjoyable. When we received our bill they automatically included a gratuity and the server couldn't tell me what percentage it was out of - it was not stated on the bill. The server asked his manager and the manager didn't even know. We calculated and it was a 20% gratuity when the standard in Miami is 18%. THEN we paid with card and when the receipt came back for our signature they CHARGED a 3.5% fee for using card and not cash. This should've been stated before we paid. Not a great experience and I would not recommend. Open table reviews and ratings are not reflective of the experience we had. The only reason why we chose to dine here was because of the ratings.
Wonderful Peruvian food.and very nice service.
Had brunch today at O’lima restaurant. The chorizo eggs Benedict on the corn cakes was excellent! The salmon eggs Benedict with pickled red onion was also very good. Nice restaurant with very good service. Will go back again.
We were happy with everything until it was time to pay. We know that many establishments charge more if you pay with credit card than cash. Three of us were splitting the bill. One was paying in cash. We figured out how much each person would pay accordingly. After the cards were returned so we could sign, we realized the restaurant charged us the extra credit card fee again on our credit cards. I will return because we were happy with everything else but make sure to careful check your bill.
Very good option to buy wines, piscos, whiskey's and more... And if you like Peruvian food they have a restaurant next door, delicious food, with excellent service, totally recommended.
The attention is very good. I would always choose to return to shop at this store. I liked everything a lot.And take advantage of having lunch at their O'Lima restaurant because it is next to the liquor store. Quiet place
If you have not been to Olima in Bay Harbour , you are missing out on a wonderful restaurant It’s a lovely setting Calm and neatly decorated The staff is kind and provides great service I am not too familiar with Peruvian food, but not a problem at all at Olima Our waiter made wonderful recommendations. He also paired our food choices deliciously The drinks were wonderful as well You won’t be disappointed at Olima Holds up to the best of restaurants that Miami has to offer, if not better Thank you again to the entire staff for a wonderful culinary experience

three noteworthy facts: 1) food tastes good 2) it's wildly overpriced 3) the rude manager has an attitude problem Bottom line: Don't go there
We had an amazing dinner at O’Lima! Our waiter, Alejandro, could not have been more helpful in explaining the menu or assisting with selection. The red wine he brought out as a sample was fantastic and we ordered several glasses. We started the dinner with a shrimp ceviche and the wanton beef stickers. Both were excellent. For main courses we settled on the sea bass which has lemon wine sauce and was topped with shrimp and had mashed potatoes and asparagus. The presentation was gorgeous. We also had the grilled octopus which was also excellent. The presentation was beautiful with sauces of various bright colors (and different temperatures) along with some vegetables. Our final selection was the rack of lamb. The lamb was made in a mushroom sauce that included thinly sliced apples and small prunes. The combination was delightful and incredible. It was served with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Another amazing presentation. Unfortunately, we had no room for desserts but Alejandro brought out small shot glasses of lemoncello to sample. It was an very special dinner. If our travels bring us back to Surfside, we will definitely return!
We were so happy with our evening at O’Lima. The Peruvian Maki was AMAZING as were the more traditional Peruvian dishes. The service was fantastic and the atmosphere was perfect. Can not recommend O’Lima enough!
The dinner started well with the waiter friendly and attentive. Appetizer, salmon tiradito was very good. Thereafter the meal went downhill. Seafood soup at $27 was ridiculously overpriced and not particularly good. It had a whole crab floating in it, but only a spoon was provided, making the crab just an inedible obstacle. My wife ordered filet mignon ($40) which was presented beautifully on a plate but was anything but fillet mignon in texture and taste - rather tough piece of meat with gristle pieces. My octopus was also nicely presented but I had a better tasting octopus in practically every restaurant I visited in Miami area. The final straw was the bill which included multiple dishes we did not ordered as well as those we did. Will definitely not return.
Only one waiter for entire place inside and out!? Inaceptable. I think is better not to open the place that loose of those people as customers of last night. I know I won't be back. Many more other choices. An expensive bad experience, food arrived late cold. And not profético al help available. Sad experience and a waste of a night out. I paid my bill and tip the server. I should not have to. Never again.
