“Normally a cafe in an art space is a convenience. This is a destination. Owner Robert is a trained chef, lovely person and wonderfully creative. Best chicken salad I have ever had and I have a list of other things to try. His grilled cheese looked to die for, a Brussels sprouts salad with or sans bacon, I know where I’m eating next time I am in Dunedin. You must try it.“

“I’d never had ramen other than store bought but love everything soup so I had to give it a try. I got the tempura shrimp with pork broth, egg, corn, bamboo, sprouts and mushrooms. I had them hold the scallions because of preference. The flavor was exceptional and all the ingredients complimented each other. Next time I’ll hold the ginger because the fresh burst contradicts the warmth of the bowl. Loved this place and the ease of ordering. The young man running the register was helpful in explaining the options. I’ll definitely be back, thank you guys.“

“Stopped in with my husband today and got the raspberry stuffed French toast and he got the scrambler bowl. Both were AMAZING. We love coming to Kekes for breakfast and always have wonderful service. Today Kellie took care of us and was so attentive. My coffee never went empty and never had to ask for a single thing. She was super personable and made a great experience for us.“

“I finally got the chance to try their famous ! “Kumo” - Fluffy Japanese Pancakes 🥞… Absolutely delicious .. made to ordered Overall my first time experience here was PERFECT. The mango green tea I ordered tasted refreshing. I’m definitely coming back soon to try all the other “ flavors “ - I could only order one for now. The pancake was so huge & fluffy . The creme & flavors are on point !!!!! I’m moving on to other pancake flavors as well as maybe try their waffles. “Chef Joe at Le Belleair Cafe provided dessert croissants for our Spring Dance Saturday night for about 90 people. The desserts were great! We’ve tried the crepes, sandwiches, many types of tea and coffee drinks—the food and drinks are quality and the staff friendly. Highly recommended!!“
