Aqua Seafood, Steaks & Raw Bar

Aqua Restaurant in Cape Coral was such a good surprise! Usually when I meet up with friends, we do happy hour, but last night was a special occasion and we decided to do dinner and I’m so glad we did. The experience started with the wine. I only drink sweet wines, which can sometimes be hard to find at restaurants. Our server Samantha went out of her way to bring me different wines to sample until we found one I really liked. She didn’t have to do that, and I really appreciated the effort. We started with the octopus appetizer. The olive salad and beans were delicious and went well together. I will say the portion of octopus was a little disappointing, but the flavor was great. For dinner, we decided to go with the special tomahawk steak with twin lobster tails, broccolini, and mashed potatoes. It came out on a wooden board, beautifully sliced, with warm butter and chimichurri sauce. The steak was cooked perfectly! It was enough to share, and we even had plenty left to take home. We were already completely full, but Samantha convinced us to try the carrot cake. I’m usually not even a big fan of carrot cake, but WOW… this was probably one of the best I’ve ever had. So moist and creamy, with the perfect balance between the cake and cream, and not overly sweet. Definitely worth trying! The atmosphere was also awesome. It was piano night and the piano player was fantastic. He played so many different styles and really got the whole restaurant involved before we knew it, customers were singing and even getting up to dance. It made the whole night feel so fun and special. And I have to give a huge shoutout to our waitress. She was fantastic from beginning to end. She checked on us several times, made sure our wine glasses were never empty, and just made us feel really taken care of. She truly made our experience even better. So do yourself a favor and go to Aqua on piano night and definitely ask for Samantha! You won’t regret the dinner or the time you spend there. We had such a great night and will definitely be back!

Shrimp cocktail had yellowed from age. Embarrassing for a seafood restaurant in Bonita to offer such below quality food. Server was on point, nice vibe...shame about the food.

Greeting was normal, we ordered drinks and dinner which went fine. We had the cheese plate and it was the only enjoyable thing this evening beside my families company. I ordered a filet M and it was MR. Which was something I can deal with fine. We asked if we could get a smaller salmon portion for my daughter the server said no, fine as well. My husband ordered the seafood tower and when they brought out our dinner they brought him the wrong dish, the server apologized and said his food would be right out. It came out 20 minutes later. We said it’s fine I eat slower than him anyways. Our server just seemed so annoyed with us when we were being so polite. Anyways the plate he ordered was 150$ and 20 minutes late and we were not offered a complimentary drink or dessert. And his meal was nowhere near worth that price tag. We ordered my daughter the lava cake and asked for icecream, he said it would be more money for icecream. The biggest thing that got me was that our dirty dishes were present while my daughter ate dessert, while we asked for the check, and while we wrote down our tip. The dirty dishes were still there when we got up to leave. In the beginning I had to move the wine glasses over to signal to take them off the table as we ordered martinis and were not drinking wine. Our bill was 311$ and left a 20 percent tip as I am in the service industry. I work at a high end restaurant as a waitress similar to the price points at aqua. Being so high end the steps of service were not met at all. We both felt like we were a burden on this server and should have been extra attentive since his food was extremely late. The restaurant was empty, we saw 2 tables pass through.
P.S. I never write reviews so clearly this one got to me.

We greatly enjoyed the exceptional entrees, cocktails, and ambiance at Aqua Seafood’s Cocktail Hour. The calamari was perfectly prepared—light and crisp—while the coconut shrimp struck a lovely balance of sweetness and texture. The clam chowder was delicious: rich, deeply flavorful, and brimming with tender clams and creamy potatoes, and exactly what you expect from a top-tier seafood kitchen.

What truly elevated our early evening feast, however, was the experience beyond our plates. Our server, Nadgi, a 30-year veteran of fine dining in Naples and Bonita Springs, brought an added dimension of enjoyment to our visit. His knowledge, warmth, and engaging conversation made the evening feel personal and unhurried—an increasingly rare quality. In all, Aqua delivered not just a wonderful meal, but a memorable experience defined as much by hospitality as by cuisine.

We shared many delicious appetizers and were served by an extremely tentative bartender at the bar. Everything was delicious and timely Food came quick and was enjoyed thoroughly.

We have been looking forward to the Cape Coral location opening up - we had a wonderful dinner with friends, drinks at the bar to start, the bartender was lovely, then dinner seated outside. We dined on Grilled octopus, shrimp cocktail, sea bass and steak. Everything was delicious, the manager was very attending being they have only been open for a week.
