I can't say enough about Tarpon! First and foremost Mark!!! Mark was amazing, read the room, got our personalities and made our dinner spectacular. He is a definite asset to your restaurant and hope you recognize him accordingly. Now to the food.... The olive tapenade was so deep in flavor. Bread was fresh. Staff was accommodating and very nice. Had live music by the bar. Drink menu was a limited menu for me personally. The scallops with risotto were awesome, lobster ravioli app was great as well as the Ahi Tuna and Lobster Mac N cheese. The only thing we all hated was the ceviche. It's the worst I have ever had. Scallops and shrimp ceviche were both bad and the Tuna ceviche was ok.
The kitchen continues its tradition of distinctive, impeccably crafted fish and seafood dishes, from the simple fresh to the sublimely elegant ceviches and salmon (to name just a few). With beautifully composed cocktails/mocktails, and Juan John on guitar, a fantastic mini-escape of an evening!
