Horrible!! 42.00 wasted. They say best burger not true. Burnt, greasy and not cooked to your preference. Also, fries were like hard and had a terrible taste. I asked for a white napkin which only gave me one. The waiter said use the brown napkins in the tin dispenser. Terrible service!!! The sign says best burger in town!!! Wrong!!!
Food is ok not great. Cubano sandwich ok. Would have been better with a toasted bun. French fries were run of the mill frozen. Service ok. Were there on a bar bingo night so that could have made a difference.
The food is pretty good and the prices are fair. I like to go for the deck so I can bring my dog. The issue is outside seating always gets overrun with mosquitos at sunset and I end up itching for a week no matter what time of year I go.
Lots of tap beer but NOTHING to go. They actually had 1 beer to travel with.WTF!! Beer was better than the food. Bbq sauce was tasty, bacon cheese fries were awesome. Pork shoulder was sub par. I forced it down and my stomach was warning me with every bite. Very spongy and greasy. Tasted like it was mostly fatty cuts or maybe it wasn’t smoked. You might like it, but Smokey is best , and they missed the mark.
I’ll try it again, but I like to share beers… and I hope the food hits better next time.
I still feel depressed and uncomfortable after eating it.
I so want to leave a 5, but last night was a no. It was valentines and there was no mention of it.
However, hesitantly I ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken. I even asked our waitress how it was was and our waitress said good.
This is NOT Nashville hot chicken this is a hot BBQ . Our waitress said it was sweet baby rays. It was so yuck! I’ve had a lot of NHC and this was terrible. This is false advertising.
Everything else we have ever had here was yum so this was disappointing to say the least. Especially on Valentines. Regretful. It islets not cheap, I think $27, total waste of money!
We love this place for trivia and to gab with the other regulars. Food is just okay. Wings are the best thing on the menu IMO.
Horrible. Started with Alyssa having a major
Attitude. Served us burned pretzel buns black as night. Burned burger. Offered no silverware or refills. Never asked if anything was good. Had to get up to ask for a new bun and was served a cold one this time just couldn’t get it right. Poor kitchen staff poor bar staff equals poor management. I’m a server and I’d never act like this chick did. I suppose she was annoyed we ordered soda instead of alcohol but we’re not all alcoholics in Florida believe or not and some of us just want lunch on our lunch breaks. If you don’t want people to enjoy your food keep it up. I will be telling everyone who rents my air bnb to skip this place. Alyssa’s counterpart behind the bar on 1/3 around 2pm was just as rude (blonde). If either of them are managers or lead staff you’ve got it all wrong because their attitudes take their attractiveness right away, assuming that’s the only reason they’re there. And please have them put their hair up although she used enough hairspray to catch fire I don’t care to have my food touched by a chick who keeps pushing her hair out of the way. Health department HELP!
Food is great, but I drove 20 minutes to grab one of them amazing burgers, only to find out the kitchen closed at 8 and the place itself was closed at 9 instead of 10. Please update the hours online.
It’s sad to write this knowing how far 3Keys has fallen. 3Keys was once a fantastic brewery, restaurant and hangout location. But with multiple brewers fired due to lack of quality or passion in the craft, inconsistent kitchen staff, hesitation (almost unwillingness) to invest in the building leading to a lack of AC and cold beer, management that does not care about (even bullies) their employees and have shifted to milk their loyal customers. I’ll break this down to give a clearer picture so it’s not a Karen rant.
Brewer problem: as of time of writing the current brewer is doing a good job and is still passionate about making beer. However the last 2 brewers did not have the passion and maybe the support needed to make quality product. Lazily calling poor quality beers “hazy” and allowing terrible beer to make it to the customers.
Kitchen staff: it is not entirely the kitchen staffs’ fault that they work in an un-air conditioned kitchen with little to no air flow and hot equipment. However what is on them is the inconsistency in the way they make the food. Unless your meal is made by the head cook you can expect your burgers to be dry, your fried foods overcooked and your pizzas lopsided and lacking in toppings. That’s if they also aren’t short staffed.
Building hesitation: the build is older than the other craft breweries in the area so a lot needs to be done. The issue is that the brewery is not making sufficient money to make significant changes or upgrades. For example, the brewery experienced 3 different AC outages from August to September (does not include any hurricanes). The walls were wet with condensation, employees were drenched in sweat and customers got miserable and angry. This also affected the beer because the lines from the tap run across the drop ceiling. This caused warm foamy beer pours and the staff had to put kegs in kiddie pools of ice and drop the beer count from 12 down to 4. These problems feed into the brewery losing customers, losing money and pushing back upgrades the building needs to keep customers.
Management: this is where I will have biased feedback as my fiancée had experienced issues with management. But I’ll continue as it is something loyal customers to 3Keys will have noticed as well. At time of writing the Assistant General Manager(AGM) has had a personality problem arise after being promoted to his position. He has a need to pick on, belittle and retaliate against at least one employee under him. My fiancée isn’t the first and if the General manager and owner don’t put a stop to it she won’t be the last. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem they will step in or step up as the owner is not local to Bradenton or Sarasota and the GM is more concerned about playing and talking golf than being an effective leader. The employees make this place great and to have poor management and an AGM that also has his hand in the tips is unfair to them.
TLDR: If you want consistent food, cold good beer, working AC and want to support a place that treats employees right - go somewhere else. I hear Big Top is better anyway.
Update edit: Where’s the lie?
Could not eat the burnt tasting wings or nasty pizza. Only would come back for drinks, a hard pass on the food. Waitress knew so didnt ask how the food was. Save your money folks. I have never wrote a review before but the food was that bad.
Restaurantji Recommends

Acknowledged us as soon as we entered. Excellent service from Jenna throughout out lunch. They have vegetarian choices including Impossible animalmeatsubstitute. The beef is local free-range and everyone loved it. Had a local draught lager, crisp and refreshing & tasty 5.5%. Great atmosphere with large bar and all the regulars have their own tankard hanging on the wall. Lots of seating, DOG friendly, live music areas indoors and outside. Plus heaps of parking. Def going back.
Love the crew! Love the food! Love the brews!
Thank you for the service! The food and the beer!!
