Stopped in for sushi. They also have cooked items. Found the atmosphere to be open, clean and welcoming. Service was very good. Chen was friendly and helpful. We had 4 different rolls - all very fresh and nicely prepared. The basic rolls are only $4.95 and up - very reasonable and excellent quality. Will go back.

We have found our new favorite sushi place! Yaki has only been open since February 2020 but has us hooked. They stayed open for takeout during Covid closures and we were so grateful, we hope they stay busy because we want them to stay open! Their sushi is fresh, creative and delicious! Some of our favorite rolls are the Out Of Control, American Dream, Dancing Eel and Monster roll. Their crab Rangoon and fried dumplings are wonderful! If dining in I recommend going during happy hour, great two for one beers and super affordable apps. Always friendly service whether ordering takeout or dining in. Great addition to the UTC area, best sushi in UTC as well...better than JPan for sure.

We we're past regulars at Kumo and disappointed when they closed. Now we decided to try the new place and we're so pleased. Kevin the bartender was the best and was Kumo days so made us feel at home. The new decor is fresh and nice. Notice the pic up close their sushi isn't over loaded with rice so you get the true flavor. The prices are great and happy hour can't be beat ANYWHERE. We had seaweed salad and helping was more than most places serve. The sushi was fresh and amazing. We will now be regulars here!

This is the second time I've ordered delivery from Yaki Sushi and it's the last time. (See below for my first experience) I ordered a salad, crab Rangoon, Mexican Roll and a Philadelphia Roll. Seriously you can't or shouldn't mess up these two ever popular rolls. But they did. The Mexican had hard avocado in it. I had to pop it out and then I had a messy roll to try to eat. The Philadelphia Roll is supposed to be smoked salmon, cuke , and cream cheese. I got raw salmon, cream cheese, and avocado- that is an Alaskan roll. It was not good. I am posting my first review below that I posted on yahoo, but for some reason it keeps getting deleted and I have no idea why. The first review was about a month and half ago. So now I will not be ordering from them again. I am a first time customer and due to the corona virus, I ordered delivery. I would love it if you could please update your menu to give better descriptions of your rolls. I ordered a Naruto Roll- raw Tuna, eel, spicy crab, avocado, cucumber (chef's special sauce). It did not specify that this roll had no rice , but was wrapped in the cucumber. If I had known, I would not have ordered it. Now, the crab rangon was delicious BUT again, no description of the sauce so I was surprised to get a yellow colored sauce. This time the sauce turned out to be delicious, unlike the sushi. I also appreciated the sweet gesture of the free gyoza so thank you!

Completely exceeded our expectations. Took my girlfriend here expecting a mediocre atmosphere and menu. Boy were we wrong. Upon entering we were greeted by staff and shown to the table of our choosing. Very upscale looking inside. Very affordable prices for quality food! Drinks were excellent and generous pours. Highly recommend. Will be back very soon! Ivy was fantastic.

Finally a good sushi place in Sarasota!! The sushi melts in your mouth because it's so fresh and not made with a ton of rice. This is how sushi should be!! I've ordered this take out several times now and keep going back. I've never done that. This place truly is the best and I hope it never changes! Oh and thanks for the free items in each order.

This place is great. Some friends highly recommended it and it is the best hibachi grill&sushi I've ever been to. Fantastic service, incredible chefs, and the prices are very fair. Will definitely be back.

I was out with my girlfriend for her birthday. The chef's were amazing. Everything was fresh and handmade. Any and everything you asked for was made to order. This is a place you go to for great sushi.
Definitely the top pick for sushi in the area. As you walk in, it feels confined and cozy, and the general look inside is quite clean and modern. The options on the menu are abundant with all sorts of sushi types and assortments, so I even needed a few extra minutes for my order. The prices are excellent for the outstanding quality of the sushi; you can see and taste the freshness in the ingredients. It is presented on a unique plate with some garnish around the sushi. To top it all off, the service is outstanding, so you are definitely making the right choice by coming to this resturaunt.

First time in since the new owners remodeled. The place is absolutely beautiful and I was greeted by the manager, Ann. She is very sweet and told me all about the menu and the probations they’re running. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and friendly service.
