I am so glad we decided to give this restaurant a try because it truly exceeded our expectations in every way! From the moment we walked through the door, the first thing that stood out was how spotless and inviting the dining area was. The restaurant has a very warm and welcoming atmosphere, which instantly put us at ease and made us excited for the meal ahead. Cleanliness is always one of the first things I notice when trying a new place, and this dining room was absolutely immaculate.

The staff was another highlight of the visit. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, polite, and genuinely seemed to enjoy their work. Our server, Cindy, deserves a special mention because she went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. She was personable, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever making us feel rushed. It’s rare to find a server who balances professionalism with such a warm, caring attitude, and Cindy did exactly that.

For my meal, I ordered the carnitas tacos, and wow—what a treat! The flavors were absolutely incredible. The meat was tender, seasoned perfectly, and paired wonderfully with the fresh toppings. You could immediately tell that the ingredients were high quality and prepared with care. Everything tasted fresh, authentic, and full of flavor.

This is clearly a family-owned business that takes pride in what they do, and it shows. They’ve created a true hidden gem. I can’t wait to return and explore more of the menu!

The food is very fresh and tasty. We each had a couple tacos, curtido and papusas. Everything was outstanding and extremely reasonabe in price, averaging $7 a piece.

Good food at a good price. It took a little while to get anyone to take out order, and it wasn't particularly busy, but it wasn't an ungodly amount of time or anything

I traditionally do not like eating at El Salvadorian restaurants in the USA since they always feel off in some way from the dishes in El Salvador. I can say that this is not the case for this restaurant. The food was 100% authentic and you could tell freshly made in the moment. Every bite was flavorful and reminded me of home. Moving on from the nostalgia the food in general was amazing I bought lots of food to take home. Well done to Maria’s and I hope it continues to succeed.

HIGHLY do NOT recommend Maria’s Pupusas & Tacos. First off, I ordered an agua de horchata that tasted absolutely DISGUSTING — barely took a sip and couldn’t drink it. I kindly asked the server to switch it for a glass of water, which she did without saying anything… but when the bill came, they still charged me for the horchata.

I questioned it, and the server said they charge regardless — even though I didn’t drink it and clearly didn’t like it. She even pointed to my old drink, sitting in a nasty-looking sink, and told me I could “take it home” instead of giving me a fresh one or just taking it off the bill. That’s just ridiculous and unsanitary.

On top of that, the service was TERRIBLE. They had one poor server trying to handle the entire restaurant, so everything took forever. Overall, between the awful drink, trash service, and the way they handled a simple issue, I’ll never be coming back.

Had tacos, quesadilla, tamale and papusa. Came with all the fixings and sauces. Everything tasted great! Fries were really good too. Highly recommended. This is my second time eating here.

We had the mixed and cheese only pupusas, they were 10/10!! The sauce and cabbage salad were super tastful. We also had their tacos, full of flavor and well seasoned. It was our first time trying this place and we can't wait to go back and try their other good options as well.

This place is the best! The Salvadorian pupusas were fresh and hot. I highly recommend this place to anyone in the Anna Maria island visiting and wanting to try some authentic food.

This place is the perfect place for dining. We were welcomed warmly and picked our own table. The server was polite and helpful whenever we made requests. We only had to wait like 5 minutes and our food was already out. Most importantly, it’s so good! The pupusas are amazing (especially the spinach pupusa!)and we finished all our plates! I’d definitely recommend that you eat here, it’s worth your money 💙🤍🇸🇻

I’ve always wanted to try this place out and they did not disappoint! Enchiladas by far the best I’ve had in this area and the tamales too were in point! Thanks Maria’s! I’ll be back again to try something new!

Hands down one of the best taco places I've been to. What looks like just a corner store in a strip mall is a delicious restaurant with a variety of options. It really deserves more people because we were like the only ones there! If you're in town, definitely check this one out, I highly recommend pork tacos with everything on it for only $3 a taco.
