Not great. In general pizza isn't very good in the area, but you can definitely skip Piesanos.

Let’s be honest…it’s hard to find good pizza around here, I’m from Boston and I have yet to find anything decent. Piesanos has been my go to for the last two months - I like the sweet sauce and crust, value for the money isn’t great though.I decided to try their cheesesteak tonight, and boy was I disappointed. I’ve probably eaten cheesesteaks at over 150+ restaurants across the country (I travel a lot for work) and this was by far the worst I have ever had. The meat was completely unseasoned, the cheese and veggies were bland, the entire sandwich itself was very dry and tasteless. No amount of red pepper, ground onion or ground pepper added after I took the first bite could salvage this thing. They don’t offer them a la cart, so I was forced to spend just shy of $15 for a handful of fries and the worst cheesesteak I’ve ever had.I won’t be coming back.At this point I would only recommend Piesanos to locals who don’t want to venture more than 10-15 minutes. If you want more authentic/higher quality NY pizza, try Giannis. It’s a 20-25 minute drive from the outskirts of Lakewood Ranch. Not mind blowing, but probably the best pizza in the area.Bottom line is there is no good pizza in Lakewood Ranch, just a bunch of “pizzerias” that are sub-par, at best.

First visit, definitely returning! Tried the pizza, meatballs, soup, and stuffed shells, shared with others. Delicious! And the bread they served with dressing is outstanding!
