Stopped by for some lunch today. Service was pleasant but not attentive. My Reuben was just ok and the meat was too fatty for my taste. The coleslaw was warm and my husbands burger was missing the bacon he asked for on it.
Overall, it was just an ok experience.

I have been a patron here more than a dozen times, usually for brunch. I have always enjoyed the food even with the service having been consistently slow and less than desirable. We’ve tolerated it though because we do enjoy our meal and they have good deals.
Tonight we went for dinner and live music. The table next to us was vaping throughout our meal. The staff there stated they were allowed to vape inside so we left. There were issues with the server but again, we put up with it to eat here. Choking on someone’s strawberry vape while trying to eat dinner was the deal breaker. I asked the server to speak to the manager about the situation but she said he told her vaping was allowed there.

Nice place. The blueberry martini is my new fav drink. The fishspread is delish.
Drinks are slightly more expensive than other bars in the area but otherwise a great place. Loud though and service is sometimes slow.

I usually go on Thursday night since it's ladies night $1 wine. While the wine taste good the hangover the next day sucks lol! Thats only 2 glasses. The parm fries and wings are good. Service can be hit or miss. Overall it's good local bar close to me and my friends.

First time in and the food was excellent! I had the French Dip and hubby had the Cuban. Both were delicious. And the sandwiches were huge! We ate half of each and took the rest home for dinner.
If you like sports they have plenty of TVs filled with the big games too.
Will definitely be back.

Worst service ever!! 8 of us in the service industry and we frequent at least 3 times a week. We went on Saturday the 28th and service was amazing. Today 9/29 worst service ever!! Laura/Lori seemed mad we even came in. We came to celebrate my birthday. Brought a cake and balloons and the attitude was the worst. I even requested my drink be corrected which wasn't done but charged full price. Appetizer came with the meal. Had to go to bar for napkins and refills. Was rude to all at our table. Will never ever go back on Sunday. Just takes on to ruin the reputation. The girls we are used to as bartenders are 100% the best but today was awful. We left. We took the cake and balloons and are going to another bar to finish our celebration. Food was ? usual but she ruined our party

We love our 1916 in Brandon. We have had nothing but great food and experiences since they opened. Joy, Rob, Stephanie, and the gang know us when we come in and take great care of us. As you can see from the photos, we’ve probably eaten our way through the menu a couple of times, and we say we’re members of the clean plate club because we consistently do so other than occasionally taking home some Pesto Parmesan fries, but we consider that a bonus. Speaking of those parm fries, we don’t know what culinary magic makes them so crispy delicious, and we don’t care. LOL! They also reheat beautifully.
We also love the fried pickles! If you love fried pickles these are like Baby Bear’s fried pickles! Not too thick, not too thin, and no matter how thick the batter is on any given day, they are crispy and not greasy. Honestly, everything fried there tastes light and clean, so somebody is managing the fry vat oil beautifully too. The Cobb Salad is nice, the flatbreads, soups, and all the “small plates”.
We enjoy the daily specials, especially build your own burger Monday, Taco Tuesday and Wing Wednesday. We feel like every plate they put in front of us is assembled with care. Again, there hasn’t been anything we didn’t enjoy. The only thing we think could be slightly improved food wise is the amount of meat on the Rueben.
I’m giving a 4 for atmosphere because it’s pretty dark and stark, and televisions basically are the decor. The majority of the seating is high top communal pub seating, which can be uncomfortable if you have short legs, and can occasionally be awkward depending on the size of your group.
Our family owned a restaurant for many years, and I would love to meet the chef and/or the person responsible for the training of the kitchen and bar staff because they must be gold! We have introduced many friends and family to this pub and even refer strangers we meet with confidence.
Tell them “The Happy Jackson’s” sent you. No guarantees, but maybe you’ll get some extra parm fries! LOL! If not, you’ll still get a great meal and friendly service.

Not sure why they call this place and Irish pub. Maybe since they serve a few irish meals and Guinness. Food is great otherwise.
