Went to Tres Amigos Cantina for the first time last night 5/30/25 with my significant other, we were just wanting to have some Mexican style food came across tres amigos and looked up where it was and reviews. Looked promising for a place to go for the first time regardless of the small bit of negative reviews. Well those negative reviews went out the window of our thoughts when we got there. The wait was not long given the time. The waiter “Julian” I believe that was his name he was FANTASTIC! Really fantastic! He was kind, he checked in us often! His recommendations for my dish for the first time was great! His hospitality was awesome! Just want to say too, I recommend the Birria Tacos! & the Fajita Bowl with the Carnita! (“Julian” recommend carnita and I’m glad he did!) was delish both dishes! The meltdown melon margarita I had was delish too! Quite refreshing in this Florida heat! Also want to say the chips and salsa .. man that salsa was delish! Tipping my hat to you guys for that salsa! “Julian” our waiter also said they had a spicy version and I love spicy! He was awesome to bring us some when we asked for it. And it did NOT disappoint! It was so good! So for our first experience at this place I say we enjoyed it and enjoyed to food was delish!

Ive been here many times and its always amazing! Great value and food. The chips and queso is a must have with every meal.
The food and atmosphere is amazing and so authentic, as a TexMex a long way from home this remade my childhood

Place looked good upon walking in. Host wasn't very friendly. Walked away without saying follow me or anything. Got seated. Server comes up not very friendly. Didn't introduce himself. Got complimentary chips and salsa. Salsa had no flavor. Not good. Drinks were ok. Could tell sat at the bar for a minute (i got the swirl marg which had sangria mixed in with marg) i ordered the 2 taco combo got chicken and beef on corn. Wasn't aware corn tortillas would be hard shell like taco bell. Upon taking a bite of the beef it was flavorless. Taco bell tacos have more flavor. Got "breakfast papas" potatoes. Zero flavor. And came with ketchup. Disliked all of it. Took a few bites of each taco and just didn't want anymore. My husband got the pork belly tacos. They looked good upon appearance. He said the pork was good but the onion pieces were huge. Disliked the whole experience. Will not be back. Very disappointed. We just moved here and its close to us and looked good so figured give it a chance. Id choose taco bell over coming here again.
