Papa Joes Italian Restaurant

Very nice local spot. Food is very good, there's a nice wine selection and service has always been great.

Been here 3 times now, and that has been 3 times too many. Everything is bland and flavorless. The chicken on every dish is always dry. The Fettuccine Alfredo tastes as if they just poured heavy whipping cream over the pasta and called it a day.

And don’t get me started on the pizzas. Like everything else, they are tasteless, but if you put more than two toppings on them, the structural integrity of the crust falls apart, making it more like a soup than a pizza.

The only good thing I’ve had here (saving it from a 1-star review) is the meatballs. Those have been consistently tasty.

Just stopped in for Father's Day and it was wonderful. Great food and great service.

Our cabin rental suggested this place! It did not disappoint! It was so good that we will be back tomorrow!

this restaurant was not only beautiful, everything was so delicious and the service was amazing!
my stepdad, a marine veteran, just passed and after the funeral, we had a celebration of life here. the entirety of the staff was so caring, sweet, and attentive, especially our server Yvette. she went above and beyond for everything and everyone. she was so accommodating and kindhearted. papa joe himself even paid a visit to me and my family, including my stepdads extremely young daughters, my sisters.
i'll visit this place again, 100%. i recommend this establishment to anyone visiting.
words cannot explain just how grateful me and my family are for everything today. i will 100% visit again when i'm in the area.
they're very kid-friendly and helped us out greatly, and Yvette was very patient with my sisters (they've become extra irritable since the passing of their father just about a week ago), which we appreciate so very much.

A lil dark for my taste. But a Great experience.

Good place for large groups. Super service by Jace (hopefully spelled correctly). Generous portion of food. Great mushrooms on my chicken marsala. Mom enjoyed her chicken Alfredo. Chicken was a bit tough.

Great ambiance and pasta definitely a plus. Excellent quantity best italian pastry. 👌

They did an awesome job having everything ready and delicious for my wedding all the food tasted great! Thank you!

Got a table right away with little crowd. By the time we left it was getting busy. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Menu had a lot of choices and the food was good. It was on the mild (bland?) side. Which could be perfect for many of their customers.

I had never been to Papa Joe’s before and honestly had never even heard of it. We had just laid my grandma to rest at the Bushnell National Cemetery, and we were trying last minute to find a place that could accommodate a bigger family party.

Someone mentioned Papa Joe’s, and I said, “Let’s try it.” I couldn’t believe how kind and welcoming they were, and how they made room for us on such short notice. The service, the food, and the whole atmosphere were better than I ever expected.

One of the main reasons I wanted to write this review is because spaghetti has always been one of my favorite foods, and I’ve always said nobody made spaghetti better than my grandma. In our family, it was almost a challenge to try to outdo her cooking. A couple bites into Papa Joe’s spaghetti, I caught myself smiling for a few minutes and thought, “Grandma, you finally got outdone on your spaghetti sauce.”

That says everything. Thank you to the staff for taking care of us on one of the hardest days of our lives. We will definitely be back.
