My father in law loves their salmon so he brought us and our 2 kids for dinner. They have a kids menu and the atmosphere is casual. We were seated quickly and served drinks and the appetizers came out fairly quickly. The swamp cabbage fritters were tasty calorie bombs. The insides were like a soft fluffy dough. Dinner however literally took them 50 minutes after we ordered to be served. Because my dinner companions asked for substitutions in the salad…My 9 year old was hangry! He started to point out that people who came after us (like 30 minutes after us) were served before us. The salads were good, but the creamy Mac n cheese was gritty and my starving child ate 1/2 and stopped. Our waitress and the staff were great and took it off the check. I ordered the patty melt- that was so juicy the bread was soggy ..sigh…Does excellent wait staff make up for so so kitchen flow?

Everyone in our 10-person party enjoyed the food and drinks and service. This was our first visit and it certainly won't be our last.

Took 1 hour for our meal to come, waitress felt bad, but took forever.
Ordered appetizers they took 30 min.
Then 30 more for food ordered while waiting for appetizers. Too long

Our visit to the shipyard was fine. The food was decent and prepared well. I wasn't a real fan of their blackened grouper. The service was decent but not overwhelming. A couple of times we had to wait a decent amount to get drink refills. The atmosphere was fine -- was clean and generally nice inside. However, the atmosphere was quite loud and difficult to talk to over. Since we were staying in Sanibel rather than Captiva, I'm not sure we would drive to return to the restaurant unless we are on that side of the islands.

The restaurant was busy. We were not greeted in a welcoming way and the service was slow . We were not provided drinks or greeted for about 30 minutes. It's very loud and hard to have a conversation. The food was good , but I expected it to be better . Wouldn't recommend to anyone .

Reservations at 7. Arrived at 6:50pm. Hostess took several minutes to acknowledge our party of 4. Once acknowledged, I gave my last name. Hostess said OK. Nothing happened for 10 minutes. Hosted then approached me and asked, “Is your name down?” I reminded her that I had provided my last name when we arrived, and she acknowledged our reservation. Several minutes went by and another party of 4 with a 7pm reservation, was seated. This party arrived after us. When there was no apparent movement towards provided our reserved table, I asked her when we would be seated, she replied that she had no reservation for us. I offered to show her my reservation confirmation on my phone (the reservation had been made more than a week in advance) and she literally “waived” at me and said it was not necessary. Miraculously, she directed us to a table. With no apology for the issue that we had a 7pm reservation and we were not seated until close to 7:30. Failed to recognize our arrival check in and then insulted us by declaring that we had not made a reservation.... this was a poor first day at Tween Waters.

We were unable to dine due to the restaurant being closed even though we had a reservation for this time frame

Very pleasant casual place and would recommend it to any friend or family member - overall very well done for a relaxing casual dinning experience that fit perfectly with our island time retreat

Our server was very attentive and great but the food was just mediocre. The short rib grilled cheese was bland. The crab cakes were very fried instead of sautéed. We expected more from a restaurant at Tween waters resort.

Beautiful beach feel bar and grill. Friendly staff, cool atmosphere, and food was very good. Drunken shrimp, crab cakes, and she crab soup was very good.

Our first time to The Shipyard and it did not disappoint! Everything we ate was delicious and large portions. The house salad with the balsamic dressing was great as well.

Had the most beautiful view of the sunset while eating dinner. The restaurant is very cute inside and plenty of seating. They even had a trivia night on Tuesday. Tween Waters did a fantastic job on decorating for Christmas as well, everything was so detail oriented.

Next time on the island we will definitely be back!

Awful Xmas lighting experience. Lights went on about 45 mins after they said they would and then we sat on the shuttle bus for 20 mins because they couldn’t maneuver around the parked cars. Bus driver did great but whoever let people block his path failed. Nice intent, horrible execution. For the several people I asked when the lights were going on - just be honest with me when you plan on turning on the dang Xmas lights, so I can plan for my young, will you? Food was fine at restaurant.
