Decent place. Had carry out of their sushi roll lunch special. The rolls are basic with no or little extras such as roe, seeds, or sauce to enhance the texture or flavor but it is good (probably because they cut their rolls thick so you can really taste the fish). I will need to try their specialty items.3/2024 This time I dined in and got the Lunch 3 roll special with ginger salad. Also ordered the seafood kimchi soup. Again, decent and basic to satisfy the sushi craving.

1000% the best Japanese I’ve ever had. Best sushi I’ve ever had, best hibachi, best miso soup, best sauces, best service. Just the best, I will pick this place over any other every chance I get.

My wife and I have been coming since 2018 the service and food has always delivered. Would recommend to any one who's in the Clearwater area to seek out Umai for fine sushi experience.
