- dolmades - cold ( I prefer hot) with a mustard based sauce not lemon
-spanakopita- good but lacking enough feta
- pita bread and tzatziki- really good
- greek potatoes - owner’s recipe. Very good!
- Pork souvlaki - definitely too dry
- moussaka- WOW. Up there with the best I ever had

“This place is worth braving the traffic or whatever else might be in your way. We had an absolutely fantastic experience on a Friday night. Some highlights: a tour of the fresh (some still alive) fish on offer, including explanations of their provenance. We had four people who have been around some great restaurants before but each of us learned something right then and there. The waiter actually brought us over to the iced storage area so we could see these fellas before we ordered em up. The bread with olive oil and fresh oregano cut table-side was a really great start to what proved to be an exceptionally good meal. Highlights: the sashimi. I think my friend JC entered an altered transcendent state with that. The scallops: big and perfectly sautéed, a little crisp on the outside and just right on the inside. The calamari: and don't miss that black ink risotto. Also, we didn't order it but it seemed like everyone else in the place had a giant watermelon/feta/basil salad and were pretty delighted with it. The colors alone made it worth the effort. Finally, while I could go on about the tiger shrimp or the chocolate mousse cake, I want to add that my husband ordered mint tea. No Twinnings tea bag here. Rather a heated cup and a hot pot of boiling water poured over actual mint leaves with a side of honey. A perfect end to a really fantastic dinner experience. No notes. Please go.“

And I have to mention the owners, Georgios and Catalina. They were truly great hosts. Georgios even sat down with us and told us how he got started in the restaurant business as a teenager and how he took that passion to grow his business to where it is today. “My group had a wonderful time at ZOI Restaurant today lunch time. There were 10 of us celebrating 2 Birthday’s. From the large free parking lot to the entrance, gorgeous orchids growing on the lush trees greet you. The outdoor garden patio seating area where we dined is magical, and the seats are so plush and comfortable. It’s an unexpected botanical garden of palms, cycads, orchids, and bromeliads surrounding large lagoons. The Mediterranean /Greek food is wonderfully delicious, especially the variety of Mezzes that I had. The grilled Octopus and Lamb Chops were sensational. ZOI has developed the perfect mix of food, intimacy, and culinary expertise. Management spoiled us with pampering and great service. This place was so much fun, we didn’t want to leave.“

“Visiting Pega Grill felt like stumbling onto one of those underrated downtown lunch gems. I was early for an appointment and figured I’d grab something quick, but this place ended up being way better than I expected. From the moment I walked in, the staff was warm and attentive not over the top, just genuinely friendly.

I went with the gyro wrap on my first visit, and it hit the spot: soft pita, well-seasoned meat, fresh veggies, and just the right amount of sauce so it wasn’t falling apart. The fries were hot and crispy, which sounds simple, but you’d be surprised how many places can’t get that right during the lunch rush.

On another visit, I tried the Greek salad with chicken, and it was super refreshing good portion, crisp veggies, and plenty of feta. Prices are surprisingly fair for this part of Miami, especially considering the quality and size.

They also have catering options, and judging by how organized the place is, I can see why so many reviews mention it. Even during busy hours, the team works efficiently without making customers feel rushed.

The construction outside makes the area look a little rough at the moment, but don’t let that fool you the inside is clean, has decent seating, and the overall vibe is relaxed.

“Everything was wonderful. We have been to this restaurant many times, and the Turkish food is always authentic and delicious. The servers are very kind and welcoming. The Turkish gentleman and the Mexican girl who were serving us were both amazing. I’m Romancito’s mommy, and the Mexican girl who speaks Spanish was always so sweet and kind to my baby.
