I thought I was going to a sushi restaurant but it was a hodgepodge of sushi and other things and nothing sounded appetizing. I took the safe road and had a salad which was good. The place apparently becomes a club at 10 so they were setting up the music and equipment so it was loud. The restaurant was also empty and for a Saturday night that seems like a sign. Kao is an underrated spot in Coral Gables. Many restaurants pop up and last a year or 2. Kao has persevered without sacrificing quality and service. My husband and I had not been in since Covid.
