I’ve always liked Sushi Sake and have been to several locations, but this visit was disappointing. The hostess barely greeted us and told us to “sit anywhere” with no warmth. Her attitude while serving us was vague and dismissive — even my mom noticed it.

The food and presentation were good, but the service really brought the experience down. When we needed something, she was nowhere to be found. I’ve had better experiences at other locations, so this was really unfortunate.
Also I had no idea about the auto gratuity of 18%, maybe that was why she didn't care about the service 🤷🏻‍♀️

A restaurant will always give its best and will function in the best way for its workers, but in reality when a worker does not perform at 100% everything that the others do will not be worth it because if only one is useless it damages the essence of everything, actually in this restaurant they have a boy whose name I do not know, I only know that he is young and wears glasses, that in reality he is not prepared to serve the public, I hope that if there is a good manager he evaluates it because with people like him they lose many, many clients.

I think that before giving a job to a person they should see if he is qualified for that job since if a person attends a restaurant it is because he wants to spend a different time I attended this restaurant and I did not feel like going again since we were attended by a young boy who wants to pass glasses which I do not know is qualified for that job (bad customer service)👎

This was by far the WORST experience I’ve had at a Sushi Sake location. I ordered takeout and got a Bobby Salad and the Crispy Tuna Rice. While the Bobby Salad was fine, the tuna on the crispy rice had a noticeably foul smell — definitely NOT FRESH and honestly inedible. This is absolutely disgusting and can cause anyone to get food poisoning or even worse. To make matters worse, when I called to explain the situation and asked if I could at least exchange it for another Bobby Salad (since I was told refunds aren’t possible), I was told the staff would need to speak to the owner of the location... I’m still waiting on a resolution. Therefore, I will be calling my bank for a refund because this was absolutely absurd. Horrible food, horrible service, and horrible location! I’m including a photo below to show the clear difference in quality. I am extremely disappointed and won’t be ordering from here EVER again.

Service is terrible, I ordered takeout. Not sure the name of who was taking my order, but she got visibly annoyed and mad at me multiple times when taking my order for takeout because I was placing a few orders. She had her AirPods in and was not paying attention to us. I also ordered a coke and she did not put it in our takeout order.

Excellent experience all around! Our server Roy was extremely helpful and answered any questions we had in a thorough yet succinct manner, my dad had dropped his fork and Roy brought him a new one immediately and with the utmost respect and sincerity. He even told us about an extra special, secret menu item as well as recommended a variety of other meals. We really felt like Roy put his heart and soul into making it the best Sushi Sake experience possible! The food and drinks were all very delicious as well! Much gratitude to Roy and the rest of the team at Sushi Sake UM for making us feel at home and like family!

Our server Roy welcomed us and made us feel right at home. Great positive energy, cordial, and respectful. He assisted choosing menu items and guided us through it patiently. We settled on the Hialeah Fried Rice which is not for the feint hearted, but if you’re feeling adventurous I recommend it. The fried egg on one of them slid completely off the plate and Roy already anticipated it and let us know a new replacement egg was already on the way. We got there with about an hour before closing, but you would think they just opened. We didn’t feel rushed at all and he ensured we were comfortable and catered to. If the rest of the staff is like him this place will be here for a long time!
