Can’t say enough good things about this place! We had the most deliciously amazing lunch! Best chicken and waffles I’ve ever had. Crispy coating with juicy chicken. So good! And the corn guacamole was the best guac we’ve ever had. Beer was great too and our server was super knowledgeable about local beers.

Do not come here if you look under 25 yo, because they will treat you terribly. We came for a birthday dinner with a large party. We made the reservations in advance and were told there would be space for us, but when we arrived we were split into two tables that made it difficult for all of us to speak to each other. This would have been pretty minor, but it was only the beginning of one of the worst, most disrespectful dining experiences I have ever had. When we arrived, we were given regular menus but were not given a drink menu. We had to go to the hostess stand and request them, and she only brought one for our party of 10 split between two tables. When the waitress came over, we all ordered drinks, and she asked for our IDs. She claimed that since some of the IDs were out of state, she would have to get them approved by a manager. She took all 10 of our IDs away. We waited for over 20 minutes to get our IDs back, at which point the manager came to our table and told us that we would not be served because our IDs were 'fake.' I asked if there were any particular ones that concerned him, and he said "all of them," while laughing at us. He then told us we would have to present a secondary form of ID to be served if we were so insistent that they were real (they were). I offered to show him a picture of my passport, but he said no pictures. Why in the world would I have my passport on me??? After some back and forth and us offering to call the police, they looked at our passport pictures and let us be served. They did not apologize. If it hadn't been a birthday dinner with such a large party, we would have left and gone elsewhere but we decided to stick it out (mistake). They moved us to a 10 top. The drinks took 20 or more minutes to come out, and one never came and we had to later ask to take it off the bill. At this point we had been at the restaurant for over an hour and no one had taken our dinner orders. We repeatedly attempted to flag over a waiter but were not successful. After an hour and a half had passed, we got up and asked the hostess to please assign someone to our table. Finally, someone came to take our order. The food came out about a half hour later. The food was fine, maybe even good... but it was just so overshadowed by everything else. We paid our bill and left shortly after, having spent over two and a half hours in the restaurant.I know this restaurant is close to UM, and that college kids probably come in all the time with fake IDs. But our IDs were real, and they need to have a better way to verify that. We were not being rowdy or disruptive -- we were talking across two tables because they had split up our reservation. We were repeatedly talked down to and scoffed at, with our waitress visibly rolling her eyes at us on multiple occasions. I always try to be on the side of the waitstaff in a situation like this -- serving is hard work, and people suck. But the way we were treated at Tap42 was just so incredibly disrespectful. I will not be returning here again, and will be encouraging my friends to stay far away.

This is by far my favorite top 42 in all of Miami. It's not as loud and as crazy as some of the other ones is very well kept and the food and the service were both on point. This is becoming my favorite spot.

It's alright... not amazing and not bad.... towing the line and effective for what it's meant for... prices are way too high but just an effect of the location and "inflation". Nice employees though.

Happy hour advertising is deceptive. Even at bar says cocktails $8. Do you consider a martini a cocktail? Shook some house liquor with ice, added a few olives. Price was $8 for shot and $4 to shake it, so cocktails advertised at $8 actually 12 with hidden cost. Go to Doc B's a block away for better Happy hour.

Always a great time at Tap42 for whichever meal. Good music and vibe while you're there, plenty of drink options to choose from, and a solid menu filled with of choices for everyone.

I like this place although it has changed a little. I find it that they don't have as many people serving but the servers are nice. The food is filling and again although their menu has changed it's still nice to grab a drink and perhaps meet with friends for a chat or watch a game at the bar.

I am not one to review places, but I just could not wrap my head around this experience. Went to the location on a Saturday night more than 2 hours before closing - there were a few people sitting at the bar and no one in the restaurant. Not an employee besides the bartender in sight for almost 10 minutes. When they finally came out, they sat us outside. We were too happy at the fact that we were finally being seated to make any comments on that wait, but I wish I had. We proceeded to wait 30 MINUTES with no one coming to our table, not even to offer us water. In that time, the table directly next to us was sat down, had their order taken, and had most of their food brought to their table. The entire time, no one even turned to acknowledge us. We left when the smell of the next table's food got to be too much - we were starving. As we walked out, I noted how much time had passed since we walked in and decided nothing was worth that kind of treatment. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else, even if it's a different tap location.

Went for happy hour. Calamari and frozen mango cocktail was very good but the slider I ordered never arrived after 30 minutes. The service from our bartender was mediocre. Portions are extremely small for the prices so not worth me coming back honestly.

First time coming here Wednesday night with friends. The atmosphere was great. The restaurant was not too packed since we went about one hour before closing time.Ordered the Crispy Asian Calamari Tower, Sweet Potato Fries, and Wagyu Steak Noodles. The Asian Calamari Tower was delicious. The Wagyu Steak Noodle was pretty good. The Sweet Potato Fries were tasty with the cinnamon dip.As picky as I am when it comes to ordering a michelada. I don’t know who the bartender was but a big shoutout to the bartender for making the mix for my micheladas. They were on point! ?The server was nice but was gone majority of the time we were there. We ended up paying out with a different server.Overall the place is a nice vibe when not too packed.

The food is consistently good. My last experience was a little strange. We went to watch the Miami Heat game and they would not put the sound on even though there was only one other table at the bar. They said they would only put the sound on during important games, considering we are in Miami and this was somewhat of an important game, It definitely brought the vibe down a little. I will save a salmon, was very tender and cooked to perfection.

We stopped in for dinner on a Friday evening around 7pm roughly. Inside was very loud and "club like", so we requested to sit outside and that was a tad better. We had high expectations as the menu seemed to have appealing options and we've never been to the area, but we do NOT plan to return in the future. Our server seemed to be new, and I'll refrain from name dropping but he was not attentive, wasn't very knowledgeable of the food / drink menu, and had no sense of urgency on us or his other tables on the patio. Our beer flights came out spilling all over his hand and table. We saw the bar back more than him as he brought out all of the plates and ended up taking 2 of the 4 away because the sides were all room temperature. The sandwich was "warm" but I would assume it was due to the heat lamp versus being freshly made. As we pushed the plates to the edge of the table, a lady who seemed to be the manager made eye contact with us and the plates and kept walking. The customer service and quality of the food is totally under par and it seemed like nearby tables around us were feeling it as well from their body language. The server then leaned over the table to see what we were leaving as the tip.. very unprofessional and left us feeling uncomfortable and READY to leave.
