I know it says “general store” but this place is NOT average. Other places around town have random souvenirs that are clearly looking to bait tourists in but this tourist likes this small shop the best. Huge selection of candy (old and new,)
tons of cute shirts (including lots of youth sizes and Christian focused shirts,) local ice cream and the woman who’s been there both the times I’ve gone in is sweet and so kind. My kids even felt comfortable making their own purchases without mama (which doesn’t happen.) and make sure you go in the very back of the store cause those jarred treats are no joke! My husband and I ate a whole jar of pickled garlic from there today.
My kids love this place. They had affordable nostalgic candy. The owner was very nice and friendly.
Store is totally amazing! It might trigger woke folks, but for us Gen X'ers it's a trip to our childhood!! Amazing store! Stop in! Candy from when I was little!!

Good store and open
The lady was very rude. When I walked out of the bathroom, she very rudely, told me I could not use it. She pointed at a tiny, handwritten, post-it note on a wide open door. No one would have noticed that sign.

I absolutely love going into this store! They have things from back in time to things of today. I love Simply Southern and the carry a huge variety for cheaper prices than most of the stores I go in. They carry out of the ordinary things I have bought. It's just an all around great little store with awesome people. Mary and Michelle are always very kind!
Awesome little store to find any candy and other goods and while you're there, don't forget to get a scoop or two of ice cream
Very nice shop, and lady was nice , but expensive and don’t expect a cash refund on something you want to be returned, should be posted or told otherwise store credit or for another size or something..
Rude lady behind the counter.
Great little place to grab some local gifts. Full of interesting cute things. Lots of candy for the kiddos. Ice cream too. Owner is super nice! Go here if your in town and support small businesses.
