Best carne asada taco I’ve ever had in my life. Authentic Mexican grocery and taquería I stumbled upon while taking a Sunday drive, I had to turn around to check it out.

I've been driving by this restaurant for over a year meaning to stop in. I finally made the time to do so yesterday and was quite pleased. It's the type of restaurant you'd expect to find in small local town with the owner greeting you and asking what he can get for you.Not much to look at, but like I said it's a local place like you might find in a Mexican village. Good food!I told him I needed to get something to eat and drink. The menu was hand written and without my glasses hard to read so he went through the menu until I stopped him at burritos.Make this short, I think his mother was cooking and she made me a wonderful beef, bean, rice burrito that you only get from a traditional Mexican mother that's doing the cooking.

Definitely a great place for authentic food . Love the chicken and steak tacos. Also the elote cups are delicious. I go often and every time it's hot fresh and good.

The tripas tacos and pollo tacos are the best. The buche is also good. The carnitas and barbacoa were OK. It is more expensive for tacos de tripas than other tacos here, though, so keep that in mind and ask them to make them bien doradas, " extra crispy" the only way to eat tripas as well as Buche. It is an authentic Mexican taco spot. Also, need to ask for extra salsa Verde or roja. The green is good but the Red is spiciest. The agua de Limon and horchata were also good the both tasted homemade. Thankfully, they weren't too sweet, which most places make too sweet nowadays. Overall, it is worth a visit if in the area and wanting authentic tacos.

This review is for the Tacos El Patron in the Krates in the Grove. The food truck reviews were good but stay away from the new location in the Krates in the Grove in Wesley Chapel. My husband and I are always eager to try new places and support new businesses. To say this was just pain awful is an understatement. I had a carnitas burrito. I had them leave out the lettuce and rice which to anyone who knows better do not belong in a burrito. There was no pico de gallo, no guacamole to be had. As you can see in the pictures, it was a soggy, mushy, greasy mess, with no flavor at all. My husband had the taco salad with marinated pork (pastor) as you can see in the picture there was plenty of taco shell with very little in it. It was extremely greasy as well and flavorless. Both the burrito and taco salad were $10.75 each. As in most of the restaurants in the Krate, drinks are bottled only with no ice. There were no diet sodas, only water. We spent $28.09 on this mess.

This place never disappoints. It's my go-to place for any occasion. Very family oriented and very professional. I enjoy the variety of options I have and the food is very authentic and always spot on.Especially where I come from, it's hard to find real authentic Mexican food at a reasonable price. El Patron is not expensive but very reasonable. I honestly think El Patron is slept on. People do not know how good it really is.

Really fresh and tasty chicken soft tacos, lots of other choices, excellent pineapple water in a huge cup. Inexpensive, quick service. Will definitely go back!

Not a fancy sit-down place, miscellaneous tables scattered about, but the food was good, fresh, authentic, EXPENSIVE!! We had enchiladas, $12.99, a torta,$9.50, a coke and a lemonade. The bill was $30.10. of my addition is correct, the drinks were about $4.00 each. The prices aren't real visible anywhere so be careful.i don't mind paying for good food, but hate getting ripped off with overcharging slyly. We won't be going back.

Delicious well priced tacos. This place is worthy the trip. Make sure you try the lengua, everything was perfect. Just be careful of the sauces as even the mild is kinda hot...at least for me.
