Went to this Pollo Tropical and what a BIG disappointment!!! Ordered the crispy chicken combo. Chicken sandwich was kind of cold and not very freshly made. The fried yucca tasted more like grease than it did yucca. The Coke they say is Coke tasted more like a generic cola. It definitely was not Coke. And what they charge for this combo is a rip off!! Does not compare to Chick-fil-A.

Customers be aware, I recently ordered a whole chicken meal from Pollo Tropical on or around December 4, 2024. Upon arriving home, I discovered that a significant portion of the breast meat (both left and right sides) was missing. It appears that employees may be instructed to remove a substantial amount of breast meat, likely to be used in other dishes such as Chicken Tropichop.
Pollo Tropical seems to employ a deceptive method of cutting the chicken, making it difficult for customers to notice the missing meat. This has unfortunately happened to me at other Pollo Tropical locations as well. I also noticed that the chef prepares your chicken at a hidden table, where customers cannot observe how the chicken is being cut.
To illustrate my point, I suggest visiting Publix and purchasing a whole oven-roasted chicken. You will observe that the breast meat is intact and that the chicken is served whole, unlike the experience I encountered at Pollo Tropical

I order 2 chicken meals at least twice a month. There is always an issue with getting enough sauce. You’re lucky if there is 1/2 a teaspoon on each container. This last time I asked for 5 containers of 3 different flavors and the same thing. He had nerve to tell me that he only gave me 3 of the one flavor, because that one flavor is in a bigger container. I looked at the containers and yes, the container was larger, but still has less than a teaspoon in each. I showed it to him, so he grabbed 3 more to put in my bag. It’s ridiculous to spend $42.00 on 2 chickens with rice and beans, and have to argue over sauce. I won’t be back. Considering how horrible your reviews are, I guess that goes for a lot of other people also.

Terrible place, I bought a chicken to go and they gave me 5 wings and 2 half breasts. Burnt. Terrible, terrible, terrible service. Never buy from them again. They lock the bag up so you can see the bad food they are giving you.

This has been a location where me and my staff have come too quite a bit over the years. But it seems that they are using a lower quality rice, and some of their meats have been overcooked like their chicken these days. Their plantains are still amazing, but I would recommend they look into some of their products quality.

Not sure what was going on but staff was in a panic. Looked lost. Order online gave my name. But no one gave me my food. Food was bagged & ready to go. Waited 10 minutes before i asked again & food was given to me. Everyone looked lost & in a panic.

“I had a disappointing experience here at Davie outlet today after 8 long years of being regular. I asked for half grilled chicken and the answer is NO and cant serve grilled chicken for 30 mins. One of them recommended to get Tropichop which I had to agree. Tropichop that was packed for me was like a collection of left overs with 4 small-pieces of chicken. I had to drive back from home and returned the food. Then, when I asked for a refund, a person with Red T shirt came by just to tell me that he can’t find my receipt even after providing my token number, time and credit card. Adding to the hunger and disappointment, I finally had to leave without getting my money back. I hope my money will at least be useful for a better service to the future customers.

This place is horrible imagine they open at 10:30 I believe, and it’s 12 it seems like nothing is ready no chicken is ready. I came back after 1 hour when they said it would be ready in 15 minutes then still not ready. Like what kind of service is this? 🙄 I just wish I could give 0000 star.
