Cress Restaurant Reviews
Arrived with family for dinner and was seated promptly. They allow you plenty of time to review the menu and introduce you to the wine menu and appetizers. The restaurant was tight but comfortable. Cress Restaurant is a fine dining establishment in downtown Deland, offering an exceptional culinary experience. The executive chef demonstrates exceptional skill with dishes like escargot, exotic mushrooms, pork belly, and hangar steak, which are beyond incredible in flavor and presentation. The owners provide outstanding hospitality, making every evening a joy. The restaurant's 5-course meal is a highlight, with standout dishes like savory baklava, chateaubriand, and brown butter ice cream. The wine selection is also impressive, with perfect pairings with the food. Cress Restaurant is a must-visit, with every dish on the menu being a delight. Favorites include the garlic escargot, leg of lamb, and prime ribeye, all of which are tender, flavorful, and expertly prepared.
Customers have praised the exquisite food and service, describing it as the best dining experience they've had in a long time. The restaurant's small size, with around 15 tables, creates a tasteful and elegant atmosphere, although some customers noted the lack of background music. The menu, while limited, features unique and beautifully plated options, with portion sizes that are adequate. The prices are a bit high for the small town, but the outstanding food quality makes it a fair value. The owner's gracious and kind hospitality has also been highlighted by satisfied customers, who look forward to returning.
