We booked room 0303 the room it’s self was terrible. We are not ones to complain but the couch was so broken and used for so long when you sat you were sitting below the boards on edge to the point you couldn’t sit long because the wood frame hurt your legs. The main bed was also terrible you fell straight into a hole like someone had slept in the bed for years before being placed in this condo. The bathroom flooded so bad from the shower it was awful and lastly we brought our two children here because they love to swim and the pool was closed. The front desk said well it said it was closed on the website room description. Sorry but that should have been right up top that is what we based our vacation on! The description of the pool was at the veryyyyy bottom. Good luck we won’t be back. We shouldn’t had to pay full price for a half open hotel.

Location is good being oceanfront but the buildings old, not maintained properly. The unit itself is well worn. And the woman in the bar on ground level has a real bad attitude and substandard service

My family and I just returned from a trip there. We stayed on the 17th floor. One of the elevators was out of order the entire week. It took at least ten minutes to get to the lobby from our floor. The trash chutes were down as well, so people were leaving bags of garbage in the walkways. It was often several hours before it was picked up. The dryer on our floor ate my quarters, so I had a washer load full of wet clothes and a dryer that didn't work. I called the front desk and was told "we are a self service resort, but I can talk to my manager about getting your money back". I never heard from a manager and had to spend more money on a different floor to get my clothes dry. There was construction on the outside of the hotel, so they closed the outdoor pool. During spring break. We were not notified of the closing of the pool ahead of time. That outdoor pool was where we were planning on spending the majority of our time with small children. The construction was also very loud and we could hear everything in our room. For what we paid, I would have expected facilities in working order and much better customer service. The room was clean and nice thankfully but we will NOT be going back!

Stayed in 407 this past week. Trip was amazing BUT this place not so much. No outside pool. They tricked us and MANY others by slipping the pool closed in the absolute bottom very last line in the booking info. They knew it to so comped us a free night. Then, no internet. Maintenance shows up and says “huh, they didn’t put a modem/router in here during renovations “. So we had to constantly switch to other rooms internet, which it kept kicking us off of. Refunded us 250.00 for no net. Parking. Yikes. 1/2 the parking lot is being used for the construction so the overflow parking is across a super busy street 2 blocks away. Awesome. Lastly, trash chutes are under construction so everyone sets their trash in the hall. Very appealing.

We booked our stay at a condo at this resort through Airbnb upon arrival we immediately regretted doing so at a resort as we have only done condominiums instead of the resorts mainly due to the large amount of people that they can hold. Of the 4 elevators 3 are operational there were a handful of un attended kids running around without parents and using the elevators non stop. Waiting for one was about 5-10 minutes not to mention others just jumping on before you if you had been there waiting long before they ever showed up to use the elevators. My family and I used the stairs a lot as it just wasn’t worth the head ache there was tons of people in the indoor pool and hotub late at night. They do use wrist bands for anyone under 21 and it didn’t seem to help as kids were heard yelling up until 12:00 every night. As for the beach there is a vendor for beach chairs and umbrellas that literally blocks access and views to the water and you have to set up your own chairs north of the shoreline behind the vendor chairs. We will stick to staying far away from resorts from now on. The parking lot was another big issue as it’s only 80% usable due to construction so sitting in your car waiting for someone to leave so you can park is not ideal. Leaving and pulling in the lot usually took 10-15 minutes due to the ridiculous street traffic infront of the building as well.

Staying here RUINED our spring break. We paid almost $3,000 to stay here specifically for the pool for our kids and the shuffleboard only to find out shuffleboard is closed and only available for the “snow birds” and the pool is closed for the week due to construction. We even called before to ask if the pool would be open even though construction was going on and we were told yes it would be open. We attempted to get our money back and no such luck. Rude people! Had to pay $500 for chairs to sit on the beach. This place sucks! Who wants to go to Florida for a week without a pool. We should have been notified at the very least. Don’t stay here!

This is not a hotel, you only rent the room but you are responsible for bringing your own garbage bags and if you need anything else, you must buy it yourself. Normally in hotels there is a housekeeping service but that is not the case here. You dirty the towels, you must wash them ???. I came on vacation, I haven't come to worry about cleanliness or how I should leave the place for which I paid a pretty expensive price, by the way, so that they don't even give you coffee. There are 2 pools which you were told were probably not available due to construction but having both closed? When have we gone with my 10-year-old daughter who loves being in the pool? On day 3 they had already closed the indoor pool .Rooms: Everything clean but without enough clean towels for the 5 night stay.

Overall my family and I were highly disappointed with this “resort”. The outside pool was being “renovated” although it just looked like it needed to be cleaned. The only 2 alternative options were the inside pool, along with the outside jacuzzi. Both were extremely small and crowded. The rooms were not terrible however I have NEVER stayed at a resort that does not provide towel exchange services. I was told I either have to pay to use the washers which are shared on each floor to wash my own towels, or pay an extra $15 fee for towel exchange service. The concierge rudely mentioned that this is a resort, not a hotel as if I were not familiar with the policies associated with both. This has been unheard of in all of my frequent prior vacationing experiences . The only positive was the location but I would never come back or recommend this place to anyone who enjoys nice resort experiences! 1/5 stars!!!

Had a perfect two bedroom two bath condo and two months of reasonably warm weather. The beach is the best and is a delightful experience with chairs and umbrellas at your service.Rooms: Corner condos preferred

Decent condo to stay at while in Destin. Would I stay here again? No probably not. For being an older building the condo is nicely renovated and maintained. I do not like the fact that a vendor sets up on the beach in front of the building and makes you pay to use the chairs. Why not just have an area near the water for guests to set up their own stuff? The parking lot is very busy and be prepared to wait in line for everything

We have just spent two beautiful months at the Sundestin Beach Resort. The room was so comfortable. In particular, the staff at the SunDestin are great! The front desk people are so friendly and accommodating. The concierge, maintenance, and security were all just great. They make you feel at home. We love the place and highly recommend it to others.
