Loved this place. Was not too fond of having to sit outdoors, BUT even in the middle of the day, the huge oak tree accompanied by a light breeze, provided shady comfort! The atmosphere was amazing. Food and service were good. Extra points for a clean restroom. Be aware of current road closure which must be killing this small business. With this said I encourage anyone to try this place out and support them. Even more kudos for military discount, which is always appreciated by those who served for decades of their life.

This is I had the half muffletta sandwich. It was a very generous portion.I would have liked more olive flavor. He had the gumbo, which was fine.

Stop in and discover this joint. Support local businesses dealing with the Dunedin roundabout construction. Crawfish tail and red beans and rice... amazing. Owner and wife on premise. Cool peeps. GO!

Blackened Shrimp, crawfish tail meat, poboys, muffaletta and happy hour need I say more. Louisiana flair that you need in your life with Abita beer products to drink and discounted during their happy hour. Dont let the road construction on Skinner and your GPS nondirections prevent you from making this your next food destination

We had seen and tried to go to Happy’s Bayou Bites for years. Finally the stars aligned and the second line formed. We made it! Three important points were suddenly revealed.
1) Why did we take so long?
2) This place is awesome!
3) You get to dine outside under a shady Oak tree.
The food took us back to when we worked the river boats on the Mississippi, living the New Orleans life. Our path took us from the crab cakes to the fried catfish and with the crawfish sausage all along the way, the meal was an outstanding destination. Boudin took me back to Baton Rouge and to the bayou I visited so many times. Everyone has their favorite gumbo. Mine is still my favorite, but theirs is quite good. We definitely decided to not wait as long as before to go back again. They have many more items on the menu to try.

My husband and I visit this fun, down-home eatery every couple of weeks to get their very consistently executed blackened shrimp, crawfish sausage and rice and beans, occasionally straying to other well prepared delicious cajun fare like the gumbo and etouffee. Never once have we been disappointed!! The owners of this family run business are very friendly and clearly take pride in their establishment. Even the bathroom is kept immaculate! But it's the amazing food that keeps us coming back again and again.

Delicious food and great service in a cool setting! Try the crawfish sausage, étouffée, red beans and rice, and blackened shrimp. Honestly, you can go wrong with anything here. It's all amazing!

Gluten free galore!!!! I was so thrilled to find out all protein options are GF. I filled up on crawfish and shrimp and cannot wait to go back for gator tail and crab cakes. I love a local little outdoor spot. Should've tried this sooner!
