If you love Red Ale, you MUST come to Woodwright and try their Irish Red. It’s the absolute BEST around! The staff is awesome, the vibe is immaculate as the kids say. But truly, my fav spot on a Sunday to come enjoy the Florida sun and drink my favorite craft beer. You won’t be disappointed!

Woodwright is hands down our favorite spot in Dunedin! We may be a bit biased since we hosted our wedding welcome party here, but the experience was absolutely unforgettable. Beth, the party coordinator, went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. The entire team at Woodwright is not only hilarious and friendly but also genuinely passionate about what they do. It’s clear that the owners treat their staff like family, which creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere. And the food truck- incredible German food! Highly recommend Woodwright for any event or just a great time with friends!

What a great place! Awesome atmosphere, live music, nice outdoor seating area and vibe. That’s what I thought when I visited in 2021 with my family, including a 1 year old. I have three kids now, and came back only to be told we needed to leave right before we bought a bunch of beers, because we have kids. They said they have posted signs that no one under 18 years (why 18, not 21?) is allowed on the premise. Just dogs. Hopefully the dogs are old enough. I’ve been to many breweries and I’ve never encountered something like this. I didn’t see the signs, but this was really crushing to be told you need to leave and can’t have a beer and sit outside because of having children. Breweries and places like this are awesome places to take family. Most have a game or something for the kids to play while mom and dad grab a beer and watch. Ah, well… many other breweries to hit around here, so if they’re still around in 18 years, maybe we’ll try again.

There are so few breweries that have a laser like focus on quality the way that Woodwright does. If what you want is the best, traditionally brewed German beers that are made with the attention to detail you would expect from any European brewery, then this is where you want to go. Come try the Kolsch. You won't regret it. If you're lucky, the oak smoked dunkel will be on tap. That's a treat every craft beer drinker deserves to have at least once. The service is impeccable. The tap room is beautiful. Get a seat upstairs for maximum comfort. Make sure to check out the live music lineup. The stage in the workshop makes for a fun venue. Stop by for a round (or three). Just make sure you have some dinner from the on-site restaurant, The DunEatery, if you have more than a beer or two in mind. This little brewery punches well above its weight. The enthusiasm of its staff and the awards on the wall speak to its soul mission of making fantastic beer and giving people a great place to hang out and enjoy it.
