I’ve given Gruff’s multiple chances over the years, but more often than not, something has gone wrong with either the food or the service. I understand that mistakes happen, which is why I kept returning—until last night. My drink arrived at least 10 minutes after everyone else’s, even after I reminded the server several times, and it was completely watered down. My meal then showed up 15 minutes after the rest of the table’s, only after I reminded the server again, and it was burnt and inedible. The excuse given was that they had to wait for the fries, which makes no sense as to why the food came out charred. To make matters worse, no manager ever came by to check on the situation. In the end, I still had to pay for the meal. After so many disappointing visits, this was the final straw—I won’t be wasting my hard-earned money here again.
