“As a lithuanian, I was so happy to see a menu with foods that remind me of back home. The pulled pork was absolutely delicious and it paired so well with the baby potatoes + dill, and the fermented cabbage salad was just like my grandmas! I’ll be excited to order from here whenever they’re in my neighborhood again.“
“Snook Haven was recommended by a friend, so we decided to give it a try. This is definitely a hidden location off the beaten path while driving in. We even saw a Bobcat. The restaurant nestled way back in the woods on the Myakka River. What an awesome location , You have 2 options. You can eat inside and be served or order your meal and sit outside by live music, We ordered the cat fish dinner with homemade chips, 2 sides option, and collard greens and a smash cheese burger with home made chips and a side salid , Thay have a homemade tomato relish that is unreal, our server Katie D. Was very friendly and informative. One thing I did notice is the whole staff is working with a smile , definitely a hidden jem a must visit. I forgot to mention. We also ordered the peach cobbler and a monster size brownie.“

“Ok so there exterior marketing is a little cringe, but holly hell is the food good AND well priced.Chocolate donut was good, The donut itself was perfectly semi-sweet.For the entree I got brisket on top of pigtails, their term for spiral sliced potato deep fried. It was amazing and I could barely finish a third of it. I think it was like 12 bucks, I could totally see it. Feeding two really hungry people. Yeah“
“Ate here for the first time today. The service was quick and friendly. Prices were good. We had two of the pulled pork sandwiches. They were excellent. Plenty of meat and good bread. Had hush puppies as a side and they were great but did get a little soft on the ride home. Probably better for dine in Would recommend!“
“They serve my absolute favorite: Dry pulled pork upon which you place one of six BBQ sauces on. This is my perfect meal, and they do it well. I thought I ordered the baked beans, (turns out I didn't), but got the green beans. THEY ARE WONDERFUL! These are not your Mom's green beans.... Good corn bread, great cole slaw, big portions. This is my new favorite spot in Venice!“
“If you want a really great hot dog, bratwurst, or barbecue, come here!! Their dogs are out of this world great. They taste fantastic, they are always juicy, and they have snap when you bite them. The various styles of dogs are wonderful. The bratwurst with sauerkraut and mustard is simple, yet complex enough to tantalize your taste buds! Their menu is very loaded with the Memphis dog, the Chicago dog, the mac and cheese dog, and too many others to list. They also have barbecue. Very good barbecue. I tried the brisket bowl with my choice of sauce. The brisket was sliced thinly and was very juicy. The brisket and the rest of the bowl were quickly consumed. The sides are awesome too! I can recommend the tots,the coleslaw, the red skinned potato salad, the baked beans, the cornbread. Everything I have tried here has been awesome. The next item is for the adults only. They have a beer wall! They give you a card that unlocks the beer and you can sample to your hearts delight!! The staff are excellent and they are happy to serve you and are very responsive to your needs.“
“As a Texan with a constant craving for good BBQ, I've been disappointed by Florida's offerings – until I found this place. It's the only spot worthy of claiming to serve Texas BBQ. The brisket sandwich was phenomenal, with perfect flavor and juicy brisket. This place won’t serve you dry brisket like other local joints…. The service was excellent, and with the owners hailing from Texas, the Texas spirit shines through. It felt like a taste of home in Florida.“
