The Backyard at Skip’s Marina

Great spot to chill! Music, friends, drinks, food. Alongside a cove along the intracoastal waterway in Englewood/Grove City. Wonderful hidden gem. The owners have done a great job rebuilding TWICE from storms - go support local!!!! You can get boat rentals there as well.

Everybody stressed after hurricane and hope they will open back up. Local fav.

I did not have any of the food, but I enjoyed the atmosphere. They didn't have any liquor, obviously they don't have a license. But they did have a good selection of beer and some wine. The live music was okay at that time, will definitely come back to see what they have next.

Had a great meal and a great evening. Tried the shrimp ceviche Latin style. Had to wait for a table but, grabbed a drink from the bar and relaxed by the water while waiting. Would definitely go back.

Daughter Bf and granddaughter ate here and got food poisoning . My daughter had severe diarrhea for 8 days. Thought norovirus, but not! Granddaughter sick for 2 days!!. This was on Mother’s Day! Never again will she go!

Stopped in for a few beers while we were out and about today. 1st time here. Nice little spot located right on the water. Easily accessible by boat or vehicle. The food truck was not open today so we did get to experience the food. Everyone that came in was super friendly. We will definitely be back.

Parking: If it's crowed it's tough to get a parking spot.

I can honestly say that I’m truly disappointed in the quality of food here, as well as the parking structure. I came in on Mother’s Day to have a nice lunch and since then, I’ve had the most intense food poisoning of my life. My little one also has it, as well. I thought this would be our new, little hole in the wall, but we won’t be returning because of getting severely sick.

I talked to the manager about some of my artwork to display at the bar. True Tiki fun art. He promptly told me I wasn’t from Florida, this was a ckeeky bar and he didn’t want whatever I was selling. Just plain RUDE!
