La Perla Tapatía Mexican Restaurant

Ive frequented this place since it before it became La Perla. Every time I've come there have been changes all for the better the menu is bigger and better every time. Ceviche, fajitas, birria taco were all excellent.

7/26/25. They are open again. Same great menu, refreshed premises. Place looks great. New flooring , tables, booths, decorations etc. glad to have an old favorite back.

It’s just a great place.
The food here is consistently tasty. Huge fan of their burrito Momolon, the gringa bowl, tamales, tortas, you name it! It’s like I can order at random and wind up with a good meal! It’s also a hit because while I can eat Mexican food every day and be happy, my wife’s threshold is lower. But they have plenty of dishes like grilled chicken variants and salads that keep her happy.

Portions are very generous, I can rarely finish my meal and I’m a big guy.

Service is friendly and helpful.

The food was not good at all. I asked for jalapeno peppers and a charged me an extra charge for it then tell me that there was going to be a charge what type of service is this

We always enjoy coming here. Our go to Mexican restaurant. The food is fresh and has so much flavor. They actually use seasoning on their chicken and the pulled pork is full of flavor. Tonight I had enchiladas Verde and my husband had a pork dish. Delish! Can't wait to return.

Tried a new place! The atmosphere and inside was very pretty and clean. We were the only people there so service could have been a bit better but it was ok. I had to order my food twice and each time it did not taste right. I did not eat and did not take anything home, was not offered a discount but it’s ok. My husband had the tacos said they were okay. We most likely won’t be back just bc it feel short of everything we look for in a Mexican restaurant.

Do not patronize restaurant any longer due to upcharge to pay with credit card. 4%. Hope the decision for the upcharge was worth the loss of business.
Hands down the most delicious and authentic Tex Mex food I ve eaten in 58 years. Last trip food was not hot enough. Will give them another go round anyway.

Next go around, now want to charge 4% extra for credit card payment. IF I go back, I ll deduct the 4% from the tip. BS to upcharge for credit card payment.

We had dinner here for the first time. My friend and I both ordered chimichanga, with beef filling. Our meals came with Mexican rice, guacamole, and a fresh salsa. The food was good, although I would choose a different filling next time.

Our server was friendly and attentive.
We were seated in a corner booth which was quite dark. My friend was struggling to be able to read the menu, and the server noticed that and kindly made our table brighter.

We really enjoyed the atmosphere and ambiance of the restaurant.

The owner came by and checked on us once at the table, and then again at the door as we left.

We are excited to come back and try the lunch menu 😋
