The Troff Reviews
best food in town! Delicious! Fresh and soo 😋 yummy!
Visited the Troff for the first time. The chowder was outstanding along with the peel and eat shrimp. Others had the scampi and enjoyed it. Will definitely be back to try more!
For years we have stopped at the Troff for oysters. never been disappointed till this time. Took over 10 minutes to be acknowledged at the bar. Ordered a bucket of steamed oysters and peel and eat shrimp. Shrimp came out right away. Expected the oysters to take longer, but when the people across the bar(who ordered 10 minutes after us) received their oysters, we'd had enough and decided to leave. Very disappointed in our experience this trip.

The Troff is an off-the-beaten-path restaurant that serves well-seasoned, high-quality seafood, including gator bites, combo oysters, redfish, and a combo platter. The shrimp and crawfish boils, as well as the red beans and rice, are particularly praised for their delicious and authentic flavors. The restaurant also offers a delectable oyster chowder and peel-and-eat shrimp, leaving customers satisfied and ready for their next adventure. The Mexican Scampi and seafood platter are standout dishes, served hot and fast with fresh cooked shrimp, white fish, and clam strips. The steamed oysters are amazing and fresh, shucked right at the bar. With a friendly neighborhood bar feel, great service, and eclectic atmosphere, The Troff keeps guests coming back for more. Visitors often enjoy every flavor of the variety of meals, appreciating the consistent quality and tasty options. While some find the oysters tiny and the redfish average, the red beans and rice are very good, and the fried clams and onion rings receive positive remarks. The seafood combo with fish, shrimp, and clam strips is a popular choice, often enjoyed with friendly, efficient service, despite occasional slow moments when staff are few. Overall, The Troff remains a favorite spot for seafood lovers seeking good food in a casual, welcoming setting.
