We didn't stay there but we visited during a gathering held by the Historic Society I with Patty and Steve hosting. The interior is wonderful brings you back to a more civilized time when Barron gift Collier was running the company town,and Snooki was in charge
We came for dinner and it was delightful. Food and service were very good. The old world charm and view from the deck were what really made it special. Add in the history and local feel and it is definitely worth a visit.
The Rid and Gun Club is an amazing historical place. It could be a real treasure. Only an hour from Miami and hour and a half from Fort Lauderdale, this laid back environment is a weekend nature destination filled with unique history. However the restaurant is so bad, even the drinks are the cheapest liquor and not much available at top dollar. There are many good restaurants in the facility. It's a shame really this place could be a money making gem.
