This place has it all: Excellent food, relaxed friendly atmosphere and reasonable prices. We’ve dined at several places on Amelia Island and felt either sick from cheap bar food or snubbed by pretentious places. Bar Zin left us full and happy. Menu choices; curry ceasar salad, shrimp and crab dip, chicken picada, scallops, snapper. Yum!

On our first visit to Amelia Island, BarZin was highly recommended. We were not disappointed. Great location and atmosphere. Sat at the bar with very friendly people and ordered small plates that were delicious. Josh, the bartender, couldn’t have been more hospitable. Great food and great vibe. Will definitely visit again.

Just had the most insanely unsettling experience here after being chastised by the manager for not liking our cocktails. We have been really excited to try Bar Zin after moving here! Had reservations tonight and started with a pecan old fashioned from the menu. We are whiskey drinkers and enjoy an old fashioned a few times a week. The cocktail arrived and it was aggressively sweet and we didn’t love it, so we asked our waiter for a regular old fashioned instead. We never asked for it to be comped, just wanted a replacement drink. Our new drinks arrived and they were crazy bitter. The person behind the bar just didn’t make a great old fashioned, and that’s fine, so we decided to order whiskey instead. Not an issue at all.Never did we ask for anything to be free! We would have happily paid for all of the drinks that we didn’t like. Suddenly the manager appeared and was very aggressive and said we would have to pay for the second round of drinks. Which was totally fine, but her approach was absolutely unhinged. She didn’t apologize for us not liking our drinks and immediately launched into “this is a small business” etc etc. and said that they knew how to make an old fashioned and questioned our taste. “You said the last ones were too sweet and now these are too bitter!!!” It was absolutely wild. I was shaking by the end of the interaction which was pretty embarrassing. We are locals and that’s why we are here, to support small businesses. We were prepared to sit and eat and drink whiskey and wine all night but she was so rude to us we asked for the check and skipped dinner. We felt absolutely terrible, all of the wait staff was LOVELY especially our server. We tried to tip him as we left but we had no cash and he didn’t have Venmo or anything. We apologized profusely to our server. The calamari was delicious! I wish we could have stayed for the rest of our meal but we didn’t feel welcomed at all. Will never return and make sure to let our local friends know to avoid this place at all costs.

We took out-of-town guests to Bar Zin last evening. The food was delicious and the servicer (Dallas) did an excellent job assisting one of our guests who required a gluten-free meal.

Amazing experience, Heather is amazing!

First time guests, food quality and value were excellent. Minimally acceptable wine selection for a wine bistro but we managed. Very crowded and we had to wait 20 minutes for a table after arriving on time for our reservation. If our dining experience, once we got to it, had been less than exceptional I'd have gone with a lower rating.

Absolutely the best meal we've had in a long time. The flounder -catch of the day-was perfect and my husband's chicken piccata was the best he ever had! The beignets for dessert was scrumptious . Our server, Jada, was pleasant snd helpful in every way. We are only in town for a few days but will go back again before we leave! Kudos to the chef and management! Fabulous dining experience!

Bar Zin is always a must when we are on Amelia Island. Great food and libations. Our party of 4 had the Scallops, tuna poke and fish (flounder) special. All were very good and prepared perfectly. The pecan old fashioned is a must try!

Always a favorite spot of ours when we come every winter. Great food & service in a cozy atmosphere. When weather permits outdoor dining is very enjoyable. I had the scallops with mushroom risotto which was amazing. My hubby loved the cheeseburger with truffle fries. Wine offering by glass offers something for everyone!

I think BarZin provides the best value of any restaurant on the island. The food is great and somehow the tab never seems to be too high. I recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone who loves good food.
