Love the Boatyard! They're happy hour and ambiance is the best around. Our last stop before heading to the airport
The bartenders do a great job. The food is always superb. Looking forward to going back.

My boyfriend and I came here for my birthday celebration and had the BEST experience!! The food was amazing (we ordered the salmon and sea bass entrees), the ambiance was great both inside and outside on the patio, but most importantly the service was fantastic! Alejandro made the experience a 10/10. He checked in regularly, gave the best overview of the menu, and even chatted with the chef about making a mocktail that wasn’t on the menu. Will definitely come back and request him if we visit Fort Lauderdale again 🙂 he deserves a raise!!

We were very pleased with the place. We went as two couples and really enjoyed the restaurant overall the drinks, the food, and the atmosphere were all excellent.

My only observation is that this is the only restaurant I’ve visited where the main courses do not include any sides at all, not even a small salad; everything has to be added for an extra charge. I believe that, considering the type of restaurant it is and the awards it holds, they could at least include one side with the entrée.

Other than that, everything was great. I would definitely come back.

The food was good, the service was a bit slow but it was Valentine's Day and we understood. When the bill arrived, they charged us separately for the drinks we ordered: 4 Casamigos Jalapeño for $72 and 2 Sun Kissed for $38 plus $24 for open liquor? We asked and they couldn't explain; supposedly it was for an ice cube that comes with a flower, which we didn't order, and because we ordered passion fruit Casamigos???????

booked this restaurant for our 28th anniversary and it just never went in the right direction from the start. I booked the reservation for 7:00 and we arrived five minutes early. We were promptly told our table was not ready and were directed to please stand by to the side and they would get us when it was ready. We stood next to the hostess stand and subsequently watched three additional couples arrive back to back to back and announce 7:00 reservations. All three couples were immediately seated at tables while we stood and watched. Two of the couples were seated by what looked like the general manager or manager for the evening. Once seated we were greeted by our server Lauren who had great personality and intentions. I ordered a Grey Goose Martini with blue cheese olives and my spouse ordered a glass of Chardonnay. It took about 15 minutes for our drinks to arrive. The martini showed up with black cherries in it. I asked for the correct martini. We then ordered the artichoke appetizer and the ceviche for starters. They arrived promptly. The issue with both of the appetizers was salt. They were salty as heck. My spouse has a very sensitive pallet but me? No. I never turn anything back and grew up in the clean plate club. I totally had to agree with her on this. In this case both appetizers sat half eaten. Lauren came back and asked about entrees. We paused at the point because it had been twenty or so minutes before my replacement martini arrived. While we debated ordering entrees the table next to us declined to pay for their meals. The restaurant opted to credit them and then comp them for two items for takeout. We decided to decline entrees and ask for our check. We did not want to risk ordering two salty entrees as there appears to be a heavy hand in the kitchen with the Maldon Salt. Our server removed our half finished appetizers from the table. At no time did anyone ask us why we left half of our appetizers untouched or why we did not order any entrees and ask for an immediate check. Never saw the manger come by. To add injury to insult our bill arrived with an automatic gratuity at 18% for two people. Never in my life have I been handed a restaurant charge for two with the gratuity already added. Our server apologized and and advised us to not add any additional gratuity because the 18% was already added and she did not know why management did that. She also pointed out they reversed the charge for the martini since it was incorrect. What she did not mention was they just added it back at the bottom of the bill for a dollar more than it was credited for. We think Lauren is actually a good person and a good server but at the same time she is battling an up hill battle with the bar, kitchen and management. It is worth mentioning the table next to us was insistent on giving Lauren her full gratuity despite the shortcomings of the kitchen on their order. As for us, $100 +/- for a martini, glass of wine and two super duper salty appetizers.

This was my second time at the Boatyard and I was not disappointed.

The food was consistently delicious, we had steak and salmon.

The best desert I had was the key lime pie. Some people say they can bake key lime pie, but no as tasty as this …

The food was pretty good. Let's star off with the good stuff.

Calimary was absolutely perfect. Can't say more then that.

The stake was perfectly cooked.

The chicken was great solid cook on this dish.

The asparagus was neglected.

The mash potatoes was decent but for the price I was expecting something a bit more elevated.

They came out a bit cold and lumby.

The sweet bread was unique. It was like eating dessert and it came out cold. Not sure if this was intended or the way it was supposed to come out.

There were lots of little ant all over our table and booth as well and nats flying around.

Our server was perfect. She knew exactly when to come by and when to chat. She made the experience a lot more enjoyable.

The Boatyard Restaurant was such a great experience from start to finish. The views right on the water are beautiful and really set the vibe for a fun, relaxing meal.

We had the best drinks ever. The Nauti Rita, Minty Melon, and Sun Kissed were all amazing and super refreshing. Honestly, I would go back just for the cocktails alone.

The East Coast oysters were the best I have ever had, so fresh and flavorful. For entrees, the chicken sandwich was delicious and perfectly cooked, and the blackened shrimp tacos were so good with great seasoning. My only small wish is that the taco shell held together a little better because it fell apart pretty quickly, but the flavor absolutely made up for it.

The staff was wonderful, friendly, and attentive throughout our meal. Overall, I would definitely recommend The Boatyard and will absolutely be returning.

Wonderful restaurant with great food. Seafood and steak are specialties on the menu. Their seafood Tower appetizer is amazing. The lobster fra diavolo, steak, and Chilean sea bass is out of this world. On the desert menu the bread pudding and the carrot cake are highly recommended. Service was very attentive and friendly.

Wow! Slow service and mediocre food. It took forever to get a drink. I ordered a horiatiki salad and it was about 50% purple onion. I didn’t order any drinks but my wife had a Bloody Mary and it was uninspired except for the price. Sadly this is a place to skip.
