The Boatyard was just remodeled and there are some new additions to the menu. It used to be one of our top 5 restaurants to dine at and it definitely moved up on the list! The Salmon, Cod and Shrimp Cocktail are outstanding choices.

Server bring something I didn't order. She didn't take it away. $700 bill I'm not playing around for $35 couple lobsters tails I didn't order. Next time if customer says he didn't order something take it immediately of the table. Thank me later. Food is amazing, service is trash.

Re-opening, New Management but the same old story, just louder. Much louder. Went back to see what might have improved under new management. Good: abundance of attentive staff, and in my case, very polite. SoSo: the food was okay but as the fanfare was all about the much improved menu offering I was let down to see much of the same. The wine is outrageously expensive for the quality. Bad: Another establishment that perpetuates the theory that loud music and conversation go hand in hand. HINT, the don't. Try lowering the music in the dining areas and higher at the bar, where it's easier to ignore the obnoxious folk. Truly shameful as it's a well decorated, well located spot. Mgmt just needs to tweak the plan (and lower the decibels) before I go back.

The re-birth of a Fort Lauderdale landmark restaurant. Just in time for the upcoming season and Boat Show week..! Great vibe, new menus (classic apps / entrees still there), and fantastic staff..! Great job..!

The remodeled look is sophisticated yet approachable, with beautiful high ceilings and tasteful decorative features everywhere you look. The food quality, taste, and presentation was excellent, our table had the crab legs, which come pre shelled and are very easy to eat without making a mess, definitely a first. Then we had the delicious octopus appetizer, and as entrees we had the surf and turf, cod, and Bronzino. If you want great service, high quality food, and beautiful ambience you found it.

My wife and l spent time at Boatyard last night. It was great! We were very happy, the ambiance was great and, of course, the food was delicious. The service was excellent. We'll always come back with friends.

We visited Boatyard Restaurant with friends to celebrate our kids’ graduation, and unfortunately, it wasn’t the best experience overall.
There was some miscommunication during the email exchanges, and although our group was 16, they mistakenly counted us as 18. One of our kids couldn’t make it, so we informed the server, planning to take his food to go since we still had to pay for him. For parties of 16 or more in a private room, there’s a set menu costing $35 per person, plus tips and fees (with other options available).
When we arrived, our table wasn’t ready, so we went to the bar. The server came to get us, saying he would take care of us. However, we had to wait a long time for our drinks instead of just staying at the bar, which was frustrating, but we didn’t want to be rude and said little.
The food options were okay but not great, and there wasn’t much for the kids to enjoy. They did accommodate allergies, which was appreciated.
Our server was attentive and checked on us regularly, but he couldn’t handle everything alone, so service was slow.
The server initially told us not to worry about paying for the extra person who didn’t show up and said he would remove the charge. However, when the bill came, we were charged for 18 minus 1. We had to show the emails for the final count to get it corrected to 16. We were then charged for the one person we were told would be taken care of. My fiancé spoke to the manager, explaining we wanted to take the food as we had requested, but she refused, claiming there were no more cooks, even though the restaurant was still open. They might not have had more of the set menu, but after spending over $1200, they should have offered an alternative. Instead, they didn’t seem to care, which was a disappointing way to end our lunch.

had a really great meal here! all the seafood tasted really fresh and the service was excellent. the shrimp cocktail was very refreshing and a great way to start the meal. had a nice salad and some fish and chips! i would definitely recommend this place and i look forward to visiting again after the remodel.
