Nice chill vibe

I visited this bar hoping to try something new. I read mixed reviews about it, so I decided to give it a try. Upon entering, I was immediately struck by an uninviting atmosphere. It was definitely not a place that exuded friendliness. The wings were flavorless, and the drinks were not satisfactory.

So a friend of mine and I went to this establishment on a Thursday evening. We had heard about it and the show that they had there. So being curious we decided to make the trek.
This place called Cheers has been around for quite a few decades. And is well known throughout much of Fort Lauderdale. We got there around 10:00 p.m. and they work quite a few patrons there. We sat down at the bar and were greeted right away. We ordered our drinks and food as well. We heard that the kitchen is open late night until about 4:00 a.m. which regulars there said is true. Very nice for those that would come in late night/early morning at say 2:00 a.m.
The entertainment for the night was karaoke. Quite a few good singers. The hosts were very nice as well. I believe their names were Spice and Bear. She was very engaging and cheerful. Her partner may have seemed rough at first but some of the regulars said he just looks that way but is quite the character when you get to know him. The two of them did a song together near the end of the evening that was quite engaging. Really enjoyed the karaoke.
The food was quite good; between the burgers and the wings they were done very well. We also ordered nachos in which we ended up sharing with another person at the bar. But again it all tasted very good.
And the atmosphere was very nice also. Not dark or dank but just enough lighting. They have pool and darts and even a pinball game.
The only drawback would be that once or twice we had to go outside to smoke and there were other individuals hanging out that weren't necessarily part of the bar and unfortunately we were approached two different times by some individuals that were obviously trying to sell drugs. We do hope that the owners somehow take care of this situation because I'm sure more people would actually show up without having to worry about being approached late night by shady individuals.
All in all, Cheers seems to be a wonderful place and we'd definitely come back. 👍

Cheers Food & Spirits has become one of my favorite go‑to spots. The location is perfect, the food never misses (those chicken tenders and honey mustard are my weakness), and the entertainment lineup is always on point — Pro Jam Wednesdays, karaoke on Tuesdays and Thursdays, plus live bands every weekend. It’s everything I enjoy in one place.
