Council Oak Steaks & Seafood (in Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood)

Visited Council Oaks on a recommendation from another couple in the elevator. We enjoyed our date and the live music on stage.

In short: Council Oaks is a perfectly fine steakhouse experience.

Noteworthy details:
- If you're into dry aged beef, they have several great options.
- Good balance of different items on the menu, all in that traditional American steakhouse realm.
- Nice variety for bread service.
- The iPad cocktail menu will suck you in, like it did for me, and I wasn't mad about it. Blackberry pisco sour was a nice treat. (See picture)

One nit picky thing: I am a potter, and when we make dinnerware, we think about how it will be used in service. The design of the steak knife drove me crazy because it would only rest on the bread plate. The round handle caused it to slide around on the rim of the oblong plate they serve the NY strip on. It would either fall onto the table or slide onto the dish, getting messy with food.

This was a nice change of pace from our typical Hard Rock routine.

Going to start by saying that service was absolutely excellent! The professionalism, attention to every detail on the setting of a table, the presentation of the drinks and food, the way they address every customer is exceptional.

The reason I am taking one star off is because, even though we had a reservation, we were not seated until half an hour later. And the steak was not cooked to order. We asked for medium and it was medium rare, which I was not able to eat, but due to time (we were going to a concert) we were not able to send back to be cooked better. Also, we were celebrating a birthday and were told a dessert would be brought out but this didn't happen. Not sure if they forgot or if it was because we told them of our time concern. But again, if table would have been ready this could have been avoided... not their fault entirely as they can't control how long people stay for their dinner.

Now, going back to the 4 stars they did rightfully earn... The restaurant is beautiful, and even with the amount of people there it wasn't too loud, allowing us to enjoy conversation at the table. The bread-basket brought out was delicious and the butter served as a flower, very cute presentation. Every dish is made to order. We even asked a soup to share and they split it in two plates to make it easier for us. For those curious, we had the lobster bisque and recommend it. Flavorful, comforting and with good pieces of lobster in it. The Rockefeller oysters were on point as well!

The steak came out, and they presented it to us, and asked if we wanted it cut, which they did table side. In addition, the loaded baked potato was also prepared tableside and generously loaded. Another recommendation is the Au Gratin Potatoes, creamy cheesy perfection.

Again, can't say enough good things about their service.
Even with the minor issue we experienced we left saying how we will be back and try more of their wonderful dishes and experience.
Definitely a place to come celebrate special occasions or just enjoy a nice meal out.

We ordered the calamari and charred octopus. The calamari was baby calamari and it tasted like flour. The charred octopus was overcooked, some parts were completely burned. The service was good. I won’t recommend it.

Outstanding Service at Hard Rock Oak Restaurant

From the moment we walked in, the service exceeded expectations. Head Waiter Jon truly set the tone for the evening—professional, attentive, and personable. He made sure every detail was handled smoothly and checked in at the right times without ever being intrusive.

Waiter AJ complemented the experience perfectly. Friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable about the menu, he gave excellent recommendations and made us feel genuinely cared for throughout the meal.

The food was fantastic, but what made the evening memorable was the exceptional teamwork and hospitality from Jon and AJ. Their dedication turned a great dinner into an unforgettable experience.

I would highly recommend Hard Rock Oak Restaurant to anyone looking for not just great food, but truly world-class service

Best steakhouse, hands down. We sit at the bar and enjoy conversations with Vinny, Sean, Brianna, Rachel, Madison, Ryan, and Miguel. The staff is just amazing. And the food, can’t get a better steak anywhere. It is our go to place for nights out.

Absolutely AMAZING dining experience at Council Oak at the Hard Rock Hollywood. Wanted to take my best friend out for an unforgettable birthday dinner and Micayla and Tim delivered!!! From start to finish it was a perfect night. Steaks were cooked to perfection and desert was scrumptious 😋 The atmosphere was nice and relaxing and the view from our table was beautiful. Definitely will be back when I come in town. Definitely worth the splurge ❤️

This place really went to shit. I celebrated my birthday here on 08/23/2025 thinking that The Dale Powers band would be playing, and I come to find out that they’re no longer employed here. We used to come here all of the time just to see Dale. The band that was here this night was HORRIBLE! The worst rock band I’ve ever heard. They didn’t even know how to play any Rolling Stones. I thought Hard Rock had higher standards than this. They were complete garbage. My sister had to cover her ears. The food quality has gone downhill here as well. They have a very small menu and the food that’s on it isn’t good. BRING DALE BACK!

We were fortunate enough to get a seat a the bar on a Sunday after a day at the stadium. Rachel was our bartender and did an amazing job with recommendations and service! Bone-in Ribeye was perfect. Brussel sprouts and the lobster mac and cheese all fantastic. I highly recommend.

A must stop! We went before stopping in for a concert at the Live. Ordered the seafood tower for two, a Cesar salad and a filet and a baked potato. So yummy. Everything fresh. The only thing I would have changed is the salad. It seemed like it was premade and had loads of cheese on it. I prefer when they add it at the table as you choose the amount. Our server was on point and the place was crowed. Not an empty table.
