Gen Korean BBQ House

Lots of meat for that $16 takeout menu but don't expect any of the 5 sides to be edible. Only the spicy cucumber is worth maybe pouring over your chicken. Huge problem with calling in a takeout order, though- The background music was so darn loud that it actually gave me a headache halfway through my order and I had to hang up! I would've ordered online but I needed some advice.

The food was disgusting. The meat was not fresh. The smell of the place was awful. I do not recommend ever going to this place. I am writing this review with the urge to vomit and a headache after having eaten there.

This over and over again with kimchi is heaven!!! What a great place in Ft Lauderdale!

Food is really bad. They have an item called Teriyaki Pork. We ordered and it came plain. We ordered a teriyaki sauce on the side and they said they do not have teriyaki on the house (???). We asked for salt and they said they don’t have salt. Only “green tea salt”.

We specifically asked if everything we were ordering was included in the price, they said yes. In the end, they charged us 20 dollars extra per person because we order one ”premium” meat (which was bad and only one of us ate, and they charged $20 x 3).

The food in this establishment is among the best Korean food ever. The atmosphere and service was second to none. Vincent was polite and very attentive to us. I highly recommend everyone to try this great food.

This was our first time at Gen, service was excellent, everything we had was soo tasty and delicious. Our server Ed was very patient, helpful and attentive. I’d definitely recommend and can’t wait to go back. By the way it’s my birthday

Everything was amazing however the manager on duty was very strong forward but came off as an asshole . Then served a ny strip as a ribeye and then proceed to say that a ny strip is their ribeye. Like dude do you hear yourself. People pay extra money for a ribeye and expect a ribeye not some bullshit excuse. It’s not even about the money but stop all the excuses and take ownership and just let people know up front and this won’t be an issue

Recently visited for our first time this week and it was truly an amazing staff, food and drinks! The food was spectacular, all the flavors and the experience of cooking it with your family was truly fun! Deff a place worth coming and enjoying!

I recently dined at gen korean bbq house for my girlfriend birthday.i had a fantastic experience. The ambiance was cozy, the staff was friendly, and the food was delicious. I highly recommend everything on the menu lol Can't wait to go back!

Awesome all you can eat Restaurant option. First of all the price is amazing all you can eat for $30 dollars with the option of a premium menu for only +$20 is unbeatable. The service is amazing friendly and funny specially if they sing you a happy birthday you will laugh. The food is all great you how so many options to choose from you can't go wrong u less you just don't have any taste buds. The atmosphere is great the music the light the cleanliness. The restaurant is a bit cold but I guess it's due to all the heat coming from the grill at the same time. End of it all great experience a date night for 2 or a large party of 20. 5 out of 5.

I’m not sure what happened to this place. We loved to love coming here but everything about eating here sucked. First of all they have the AC up so high, you can literally see your breath. I’m sure they do this so you leave faster… not that anybody would want to stay. Their meats are now 90% fat. One of the Hawaiian steaks we got was not only 50% fat but also a weird off colored grey. It looked like it was super old. Finally 1/3 of our food never even came. We got so fed up waiting (about 20 minutes for our last order of calamari) my girlfriend and I just asked for the check and left.
This restaurant used to be full all the time and now it was at 10% occupancy. Read the reviews and you’ll see why.

10/8 only one server on VINCE who served 10 tables like a Champ and total pro! He deserves a bonus for keeping this dinner service going with a smile and awesome attitude. Vince is the man!

My husband and I have come here a few times now and every time it is amazing!! Our server was Ed, he was very attentive and helpful! The food came out super quick and the servings are perfect! The busser picked up our empty plates immediately- which I LOVE! Everyone was super nice and kind (per usual!) 10/10 recommend #21 and #22! The rice cakes and gyoza are very yummy as well!! Strawberry Soju is also one of our favorites!
