Authentic Israeli style shawarma is one of the hardest things to find in this country.
They absolutely nail it at Friendship Grill.
The food can cure antisemitism.
Seriously, it is made with love and delicious beyond words. Make sure to ask for the amba sauce. It is a sweet, slightly spicy sauce made from fermented mango and several spices. You will not regret it.

The restaurant is right within supporting challenged youth, and the cause is so just and good. Your money goes to a genuinely good cause, as the restaurant is directly affiliated with Chabad. While it is expensive—one shawarma pita with no sides is $36—you are right in the middle of Las Olas. The food can cure antisemitism. They also host events where chefs and instructors teach kids with disabilities to cook, like vegan Mac and Cheese. Highly recommend that spot.
