My wife and I have been going to J Marks for a couple years now drinks are always delicious. The tuna Tata appetizer is absolutely fabulous. Steaks are scrumptious. They have a chicken Fierro dish absolutely out of this world great salads, delicious bread consistently good all the time one of our favorites. They also have lunch specials and brunch specials.

We arrived on time , 6:30 pm. The waiter came to ask for our drink choice . He was training a waitress / she followed him everywhere. We ordered and waited a bit for our food. I ordered the vegetarian zucchini “ noodles “ with shrimp . Very tasty . My husband ordered the appetizer which consisted of avocado rolls and chicken wings and spicy shrimp. We couldn’t finish our meal so we took it home for the next meal at home . Our friends had salmon and kale salad .

J Marks is an amazing restaurant in Fort Lauderdale, conveniently located on North Federal Highway. They have a great midday menu and happy hour specials and the very best New York strip steak in town! You can expect service with a smile and ask for Sarah, an awesome server with a great attitude & very careful with food allergies!!! Thank you, Sarah! Zee you soon!!!

Very disappointing. How can you open for Sunday brunch, offer a brunch menu with majority Benedict’s, and not have any hollandaise sauce ready? After waiting a while for food, it was finally delivered and we were informed that they were making the hollandaise sauce and they would bring it when ready as a side. Wtf, food came out just luke warm. Hollandaise sauce appeared finally. This is the second time I’ve had issues with brunch here. I’m hesitant to return.

let me start off by saying that this is the Ft. Lauderdale location. Not the Pompano Beach location. Very pleasantly decorated. Our group sat outside because it was finally bearable compared to the "feels like 100+ degrees" we recently experienced for the entire month of July and into August. We had a great waiter, unfortunately I forgot his name. We started off with 2 appetizers. One was the spicey shrimp and the other was the avocado appetizer and I cannot remember the names of either of them. By the way, I hate avocado but that appetizer was delicious. I would order both appetizers again. For our entrees, one of us had chicken piccata and he said it was very good. My other friend and I had the chicken parmesan over pasta. Again very good but there was alfredo sauce on the side of some of the pasta. We both hated it. Dear chef: get rid of the alfredo sauce. Marinara and alfredo sauce do not mix or taste good together. Therefore, you're getting 4 stars instead of 5. I would go back and make sure I do not get alfredo sauce with my chicken parmesan. By the way again, my two friends had some kind of pineapple drink which they said was delicious. We did not order dessert.

Wow, what can I say. Food here is amazing. So good that we went for dinner and came back to have lunch before we left Fort Lauderdale. The bam bam shrimp has to tried. Huge portions too. Best service and friendly servers.

We used to really love this restaurant, however we went here last week and had the worst service we’ve experienced in a restaurant in a long time. Restaurant was more than half empty. After sitting in our booth for 20-25 minutes a manager finally came up and put a glass of water on the table. Waited longer….then our snarly, unhappy server came over (evidently very late for her shift) and asked for our order. We each ordered a martini and she asked for our food order at the same time as well. Waited and waited, no martini, then our salads arrived. Really? I guess she didn’t understand the concept of a pre dinner cocktail. Then our martinis arrived with the prime rib. No sense in complaining to the manager as he clearly looked like he could care less. Prime rib was good, thus the two stars. We noticed the table next to us stiffed the waitress on the tip, which was wrong, however we sure didn’t give our normal 25 percent.

we have been to the fort lauderdale at least a dozen times with our service dog. Today we experienced a new waitress and the manager, Oscar Vargas. I asked for a glass of water, so that I would put it myself into my service dog's bowl. She came back and said i asked my manager and we are not allowed to do that. I've never heard of anything so absurd. she said "I don't care". I asked to speak to the manager, he started stating laws incorrectly. A service dog is entitled to go to any establishment. And as stated she has been to this restaturant at least a dozen times. We stated we were never coming back, and the manager was so rude, my husband lost his temper and said some words at the end that maybe shouldn't have been said but he said no one talks to my wife that way. Regardless, i would highly suggest not visiting this establishment. They obviously do not care about animals or customers.

We have visited this restaurant twice in one week during our holiday here in Florida - both the service and the food is amazing! We absolutely loved all of our food both times, and we will go back a third time before we travel back home to Norway!

As a loyal customer for 10+ years, I am disappointed that J. Marks advertises specials that they will not honor. Our server insisted that the coupon special had "changed" and the specials were $19.99 not $17.99 and no longer included the Strip Steak. Ironically the same coupon was printed a few days later with an even later expiration date. Similar issues have occurred in past visits. While the salmon is good, the salads are smaller and our server seemed surprised when we asked about the dinner rolls normally served with them. Sad to see J. Marks go downhill but we will not return.

Last night visited the restaurant around 5pm , party of four. Ordered our food which we had to wait an hour for . Complained to our server then the manager and it arrived shortly after. Our server Patty was excellent as was the manager . I just think they were over powered by the amount of customers and they could not cope . If they want people to return either get more staff or cut down on the number of bookings they take . The food was excellent, prices reasonable and staff friendly and apologetic. All they need to do is get their staffing sorted out. Hope to return in the future maybe NOT on a Saturday night.

Our server was great and super courteous and helpful. Our side salad which we shared was perfect size. Both of our entrees were yummy. I wish we were staying long just to eat there another day.

I would put zero for the customer service. They should correctly estimate the waiting time. I’m working for Uber, and they said in 5 minutes it will be done. In 20 minutes when I started to resent, they said you can just leave. Disgusting attitude

Always a joy to eat dinner at J Marks, the staff are so friendly and the menu is extensive. The Chicken Madeira was fabulous, with a really rich sauce! A go to favourite for comfort food done well.
