I don't know whose kitchen this is, but certainly not your Mom's kitchen anymore. I'm writing this review in the spirit of constructive criticism as we've been regular patrons for the past 14 years or so. The last two visits were not the good or usual experience we've had in the past.
I'll start with the good:
The service is always wonderful & the French Fries are always delicious.

The bad:
1-The new owner's defensive response to the negative reviews is disturbing. Instead of listening to the customer's complaints & try to improve, the response is almost always attacking & defensive.
2- One of our dishes was extremely salty! The bourbon chicken has potential of being a customers favorite. Unfortunately, the extreme salt takes away the flavor. If you don't have high blood pressure, this will sure do the trick. I would suggest listening to your customers & please reduce the salt.
The other dish was the corned beef & cabbage. It's described on the menu as fork tender. Unfortunately, I could hardly cut it with the knife & it was very fatty. The portion of the meat was way less than what we are used to but in this case, maybe it was good because it was way too tuff to eat it all. The cabbage was good.
3-The new breakfast/catering room is way too modern. Not warm at all & doesn't reflect Mom's Kitchen. Infact, the new overpriced, much reduced & limited menu with the wine pairing suggestions reflects the atmosphere of the new room & not the old fashion room that we got used to and made us feel like we were in Mom's kitchen. If this is the direction you are heading for, that is your choice. Change the name, just don't call it Mom's Kitchen anymore because the new changes don't reflect that.
I hope the new owner consider the customers negative reviews & improve on them instead of being overly defensive.
We wish you the best of luck no matter what you choose to do with your establishment!
For us, unfortunately it's not Mom's kitchen anymore.

What a disappointment!!! This used to be a wonderful place to eat, but now it is a disgrace. They changed the menu completely. We ordered the bourbon chicken and the corned beef and cabbage. The chicken dish was extremely salty, to the point almost unedible. The corned beef was extremely tough and very fatty. They also served it with a plate full of boiled celery and 5 little pieces of potato. The only good thing was the side of fries we ordered. How could anyone ruine fries. The price is also way out of control. I don't mind paying a more expensive price as long as I am getting really good quality food. I would recommend you go someplace else. For sure this was our last time eating here.

DO NOT HAVE BRUNCH AT MOM'S
For the past SIX times I had brunch on Sunday at Mom's and ordered Eggs Benedict, they came out WELL DONE. Granted, after bringing it to the managers attention each time, I stayed away for a while. Today, I gave it another shot since it is so close to my home. Same results. WELL DONE Eggs Benedict. The server, Sophie was a delight, apologized and sent over the manager. John, said manager, not only didn't take accountability for this 7th botched attempt at poached eggs, but insinuated it was my fault for, "not ordering them soft poached". I could see if I neglected a temp on my burger or steak, but my Eggs Benedict. Give me a break. I have been more than generous with my patience. Seventh time was the whammy. No more Mom's for me. John did not adjust the check. I paid for the eggs you see in the picture. Shame on you John and goodbye MOM's.

Our server was wonderful! She was friendly and answered questions. The God was cooked and flavored well, but both my husband and I got a bit of an upset stomach from the meatloaf/ chili. I'm assuming it was a fattier cut than we're used to. Otherwise, great experience.

Never had a bad thing to eat here. The service has been lacking recently. If they are busy and have patrons waiting, they ask you to leave once you've finished, which I feel is rude.

After a bad experience prior, we decided to try again today. The food was decent but then noticed short hair all over our table which is disgusting. Then we noticed people coming in with their dogs which explained the hair. If you're going to be the type of establishment to allow animals, then you have to clean up after them. Will not be returning.
