I went to the location off El Cajon blvd in San Diego based on a recommendation. Boy was that a mistake. Where do I start. Wanted the gyro meat and chicken over rice. Looked at the menu on line, said it was 11.99 I thought that’s not bad, got to the place and to my surprise it’s just a food hub, no restaurant. Ok whatever. Based on recent reviews, Naz's Halal Food - Fort Lauderdale under new ownership offers a mixed experience. Some customers find the food amazing, with one calling a chicken and lamb rice bowl the tastiest they have ever had, noting it was well prepared and delicious. Others praise the chop cheese and nuggets as a 10/10, saying they are seasoned to perfection and loaded with meat, beating out other cities. The falafel bowls are also described as beyond amazing, made with fresh ingredients and arriving warm, earning a perfect 5/5 rating. The food is often quick, and the customer service is an amazing experience. However, some reviews mention disappointment. One customer found the gyro bland and lacking effort, with no green peppers or onions, and the chicken lacking taste, though the rice was fresh and the white sauce decent. Another noted that the plates have become much smaller, with a tiny portion of rice, chicken, and barely any salad, making it not worth the money.
