“These guys are THE BEST. Not only is the food just as amazing as it’s always been (I’ve been a semi-regular for nearly 25 years), but the staff and management are top notch. Recently my best friend passed and his brother knew he loved Catfish Dewey’s, so he wanted to have a dinner there with local friends, neighbors, and colleagues. I went in and spoke to Joe, the manager. He assured they’d make it happen and they did so, flawlessly and with great attention to detail. They managed a party of nearly 48 people in addition to their regular clientele, even bringing in extra staff to help with the event. These folks went out of their way to make sure this special event went flawlessly and it did. The waitresses, whose names I cannot remember (I told you I wouldn’t…sorry! Ha!) were amazing. Food runners, on point. Bartenders, outstanding. Management, excellent. There’s a lot of love and care in this establishment and it should be celebrated. There’s not enough of that these days. Support local businesses who care, especially those with GREAT food AND great people like Catfish Deweys.“

“When entering the business, everyone was greeted with a good morning and a smile. The staff was friendly and very attentive to all the patrons in the restaurant. The food was freshly prepared, and the wait time from order to table was acceptable. I will start enjoying my weekend breakfast here instead of the typical chain restaurants.“

“Excellent!! I went Just Spoons for brunch. First I would suggest make reservations. This restaurant gets crowded fast. I had the grilled shrimp and fried catfish w/ eggs and grits. Enough for 2 people and it delicious. My daughter had the curry shrimp and grits awesome and flavorful. My severer was Sean was attentive answered questions about the dishes and the drink menu is like no other I had the brunch punch ( contains alcohol)and my daughter the sunset ( non alcohol) both excellent. This my first time at this restaurant and it now on my restaurant rotation.“

“absolutely great finding this unique establishment nearby in pompano! food was terrific and emblematic of New Orleans or Southern cooking. Building is new, clean and inviting. outside under a huge tree is an enclosed large area with many tables. The service was extremely warm and welcoming beginning with the hostess at the door through our waitress Stephanie. Stephanie explained in detail al the menu items very comprehensively. She also explained the daily specials and was particularly good at describing the Brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. The patrons were a diverse group of all ages. The dinner was surprisingly affordable served in an area of pompano that is rehabilitated. we will return for the weekend brunch and anticipate it to be great!“

“Top notch dinner! Everything was perfect, from the food and the service to the live flute player, so cool. Our server gave excellent recommendations on entree and dessert options. Do yourself a favor and order the Cuban combination appetizer. “Are you looking for a Haitian restaurant where you can finally sit, eat, and not leave with your clothes smelling like you work in the kitchen? La Gourmandize is where you should go. The atmosphere is welcoming, the location is meticulously clean, and the staff is incredibly friendly. I actually was able to conduct a business meeting there today and not worry about if my client’s clothing was going to smell like “épice” (Haitian spice). I ordered “fritay” (Hatitian sample platter). It had “akra” (fried-Haitian-finger-food), “bannann pézé” (fried plantains), “griot” (fried pork), and a side salad. You probably thought I forgot about the “Pikliz” (Haitian hot sauce)? It was some of the freshest servings of pikliz I’ve had. Although it was a fried food platter, the serving wasn’t drenched in oil. The Akra and bannann pézé were crispy, not overcooked, and well seasoned. The griot was well prepared, soft, and well spiced. I highly recommended this place if you’re in the mood for some authentic Haitian cuisine.“

“Today my sister wanted some soul food and heard so much great things about this restaurant and the owner and employees along with the good food they sell. I drove all the way from Miami Dade area of liberty city to try them out, and OMG the food was delicious and on point.
very flavorful and the turkey wings was cooked to perfection.
mac n cheese, collard greens, yellow rice. and let's not forget the Candi yams 👌 Lord knows I wanted to drive back up and purchase another 2 dinners. not too many knows how to cook because their young and lack the knowledge of how to cook a great tasty meal.
