I gave a 25 percent tip, but the waitress named Anna didn't say thank you. How much should I tip?

Stopped at Umberto’s for the 1st time this afternoon. It wasn’t busy as I got there around 3:15 pm, and found a parking spot right in front of their restaurant. Ordered a draft beer and their Stromboli and ate at the bar. Bartenders Raegan and Joe were friendly, efficient and took great care of me. I had a chance to talk to Joe a bit, when he wasn’t running around the restaurant getting the bar area prepared for his shift. The beer was cold and fresh, and the Stromboli was hot and delicious. Overall a great experience!

Sat at the bar, the bartender is a really good guy, I am just bad at remembering names.

Order the Grandmother's Pizza, it is just a cheese pizza, but it is done SUPERBLY. Seriously the best I can recall eating anywhere.

On vacation with family. Spent a ridiculous price for 2 pies and mozz sticks. Only to get attitude for asking plates (which they didn’t have) and napkins gave us 6. Food great but that’s it

The unsanitary conditions experienced while at this restaurant were very troubling. How this place escaped from being on channel ten's 'dirty dining' segment is beyond me. I will never return.

Terrible service we walk in to get slices of pizza first of what pizzaria on Long Island let alone NY doesn’t sell pizza by the slice. Anywho we ask can we order a pie, the person behind the counter directs us to the dining area and instructed us to Order with the server. We do just that we are met with people just staring at us. No hello, good afternoon, how are you? We decided to seat our selves as we were walking past the host said I guess you can sit there as we were seating ourselves. The NY in me got the best of me and I said sarcastically “thanks for your help”. She’s asked if we needed menus we said no we just want to order a pie and they looked at us as if we were speaking a different language so I was like are we speaking English and confused one of them finally understood what we were saying and she turns to the other servers chuckles. She says “I’ve never heard of that have you?” . So I said girl I’m not lying you can go ask the girl at the pick up order station. She tries to save herself and say it’s okay we’ll go ahead and get the pie for you. At that point I was super annoyed. Then I ask for Buffalo she brings me Tabasco sauce then I question again how much more clear to be…. The server comes back saying it’s going to be a bit because they have to make they’re Buffalo sauce for an order of wings.Again what pizzeria doesn’t have Buffalo sauce ready to go. Girl your a Long Island pizzeria not Bellagamba's or casa D'Angelo's. We just wanted a quick bite after the beach. Had no idea they think they’re a World-renowned Restaurant and we had to dress to impress we definitely got looked at up and down. They need to do better and by the looks of the other comments we aren’t the only ones that had a bad experience like this and by the looks of the responses on every bad review there’s a huge lack of professionalism, respect for the restaurant, it’s owners, and it’s Criticism is everywhere and how it’s handled speaks volumes. It should be taken into account and worked on. Now I expect a comment attacking my character or person because that’s what they seem to do on every response. Just throwing it out there since they have time to look up the last time Customers have ordered there (example of their lack of professionalism) . I’ll post the time line for them, it’s the FIRST time I visit this location and this is definitely my LAST.

Love this place. Food is great and I love pizza. My favorite is the grandma' and the veggie. Super loaded with vegetables. My friend had the gluten free pizza and she loved it. I always go to Umberto' everytime I'm in town. Never disappoint.

Found this place by accident, while killing time, glad we did!! The food was delicious! Penne vodka and lasagna!! Service was great, AND we received a hefty military discount on our meals, which was a wonderful surprise.

I discovered Umberto's on my week vacation in Fort Lauderdale. Charming old school italian restaurant.
I visited it few times with my friends. The chicken marsala and the gnocchi very good. The grandma' pizza is outstanding.
Nice to see the owners actually speak italian.

Umbertos has always been my number 1 place for Italian food in South Florida. The pizza (especially grandma’s) is the best I’ve ever had, and all of their other dishes are so fresh and delicious. Very important also, is the fact that their prices are not ridiculous and their portions are very generous, something I know everyone cares about in this economy. The service and ambience are all great, crafting the perfect authentic Italian dining experience in all of South Florida, by far.
