Bimini Bait Shack

We had about 25 for lunch after our ride from Miami. Yes we missed our reservation but they did everything they could to accommodate us. And they did… couldn’t all sit together but was able to get 5 tables inside so we could all enjoy lunch… And what a wonderful surprise it was… if you haven’t been there… what are you waiting for.. lol Do it. Today! Live music, a Funtime decor inside and the Grouper Ruben was fantastic! Not to mention fried Calamari.. one of my favorites… the smoked fish dip was just ok.. Sorry.. just ok no spice light on flavor. Well done on green tea shots and the drinks made to perfection.. rake of ribs… well you can see… and yes you’ll take some home for sure… Ever pee in bucket… lol whell Men you will…if you head on over to the bathroom.. Brian our server was top notch! If i could give 10 stars i would! Fast service, attentive, great conversation, always checking on us… and the place was packed! My wife had an issue with her during her took care of it asap! Amazing views, so if open sit outside and take in the salt water, sun and fun! Love the song request as you put your request “and a tip” in a coconut and hand crank the request up to the 2nd floor.. Unfortunately, i never got my request sang. Outside of that excellent experience and highly recommend… (the only reason it didn’t get 5 stars, Which means Perfection) would be the fish dip the missed song)

Horrible experience. I was waiting more than 10 minutes for the host, blonde with a beard, keep in mind he was just staring at us until he came and we had to call him rather than him just attending him like every other restaurant. He was just on his phone when he came over, and he just guided us to some table (which was dirty, and wet). That was genuinely unacceptable that we just walked out because at that point we didn’t feel like eating there at all. No manners, on the phone the whole time. Please do better with the staff.

The restaurant was great. The food was good, but a little expensive for what you get. The atmosphere was fantastic, but with a few problems. First and foremost, the restaurant spelled like feces - I mean like actual poop. We think it was coming from outside, so I recommend not sitting outside. Second, we were told it would be 25 to 30 minutes, but we waited over an hour to be seated. We sat at the bar while we waited, but the bar tender rudely told our children that children were not allowed at the bar and made our son cry. Finally, there was an entire swarm of small bugs for which the staff had to turn on the fans. It was already very cold and turning on the fans made it almost unbearable. I suggest sitting on the interior of the building to avoid the cold.

First time there.....had the Grouper sandwich. Best rye bread I've ever had but overall the fish could have been crispier.....made a soggy sandwich. My husband had the shrimp fettichini pasta. His comment, ok, but I wouldn't order it again. Onion rings looked good but we had fries...had to send them back because waitress noticed we weren't eating them because they were VERY cold......it was a breezy day, made it pretty cool in there! BUT GOOD WAITRESS and a very fun atmosphere. Burgers looked awesome.....

Bartender Chris should not be in the customer service business. Very rude and left bar 3 times with customers all around. Did not wait on people waiting and when he did wait on someone it was someone who just walked up to bar. So sad as I come here a lot .. very very disappointed in service and no respect for elders. Would not recommend!!

Great place for lunch! Beautiful views when the weather is great. Looking right at the causeway to Sanibel and the water makes for a great spot. Live music is also entertaining. Had the grouper Reuben which was fantastic!

The desk. We waited patiently for a table of 5 for about an hour. I get it was busy. However we ordered food and then waited another hour before we received our dinner. I did
Not thing this is the kind of service I want to pay for. So u fortunately I will not be coming back. I will also share my experience with my friends tourist and Pball community.

Parking: It is difficult to park. If the fishing ram was open still closed from Ian. This would give more parking options.

My first time here, so far I love it. Went at 545pm so we did wait about an hour for a table, but I think it may have been because it was windy outside, so they weren't seating those tables. Service was fantastic, the drinks were delicious and the Caribbean Salmon bowl was so tasty. Will definitely be back again.

This review might seem jarring based on the stars, but we actually enjoyed most of the aspects of Bimini Bait Shack! We had the onion rings - delicious - and the fish dip as appetizers. I had the pulled pork sandwich as the main, and we generally all enjoyed our food. The atmosphere was nice as well. The main reason for the low stars is actually the service - all seemed well through most of the meal, but as we were leaving the restaurant, at the parking lot, our server rushed and screamed (berated) at us for not leaving her a tip. I’m not quite sure of her name, but she was a somewhat medium to short height girl with blondish wavy-ish hair in a low ponytail. We were honestly extremely surprised - not just because of the behavior being genuinely shocking, but also because we left her a $65 dollar tip. It just made the whole experience instantly unpleasant; we actually went up to confirm, because we were concerned someone might have stolen the part that was in cash, but she in fact had all of it on hand. I would say to maybe work on training the service a bit, or at least her, since it’s quite uncomfortable to be accused of doing something you didn’t in fact do, especially considering we very much appreciate and understand the hard work service workers.

Dining area is two levels up, overlooking the water and the causeway to Sanibel.
The place seems really dirty now and the food is not as good as it used to be.
