MAKS Asian Kitchen & Sushi

We drive out of our way to have lunch at MAKS. I love the Bento box, has a balanced offering, salad, California roll, rice (brown or white) and 4 hot offerings, my favorite is the Mongolian beef as well as soup. Their hot and sour soup is the best I've had anywhere in Florida. Highly recommend.

My wife & I have tried many sushi restaurants in the area. Not one compares to Maks. Seafood is always fresh and the quality is top notch. Wait staff is very friendly and attentive. Big shout out to Jessica. Sushi chefs are very skilled. Not just in the way that they break down the fish, but the artistry when plating. (You first eat with your eyes). If you are fortunate to get seating at the bar, watch Bobby. The owners have an efficient and well organized staff.

My husband stumbled across this place a few weeks ago and said it was amazing. So we stopped by today to give it a try with our son who is in a power wheelchair. We were very comfortable at the bar location because that height helps him to be able to feed himself. The food was amazing! super fresh! Enjoyed watching the Sushi chefs at work. The waitress, Anyssa, was extremely attentive, friendly and considerate. We will return.

The best sushi in all of Southwest Florida! The food is fresh and so flavorful. The staff is so friendly and Margaret is my favorite! The owners are awesome and you know you’re supporting a truly local restaurant. I’m a big fan!

Margaret was fantastic! She recommended the Mr. Hollywood Specialty Roll, and it was easily one of the best sushi rolls I've had. She’s a sweetheart, knowledgeable, and her recommendations were spot on. If you're dining here, ask for Margaret and don't leave without trying the Mr. Hollywood Roll.

Best sushi in town. We are regulars but tonight we tried a few different items on the menu and it was so amazing- bonus was our waitress Sophia, she was the nicest and most attentive server. It’s refreshing to get service that good, can’t wait to come back.

My husband and I found Maks three years ago and it’s been our weekly spot ever since. From the first time dining at Maks, Bobby, Bryant, Billy, and Jessica have always made us feel like family. They are the kindest people and the quality of the menu options can’t be beat. Every time we travel and try sushi, we compare it to Maks and nothing ever comes close. Highly recommend!

The sushi rolls here were delicious; best I've had so far in the area! The restaurant has a great atmosphere, staff was extremely welcoming and friendly too. We will definitely be returning!

amazing quality sushi. we had the samurai roll, eel nigiri, salmon belly nigiri, and bluefin toro nigiri. everything was a 10/10. we were looking for a good place while we visited family in the punta gorda area. highly recommend maks!

I had an excellent experience at Maks Sushi! The food was incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Amazing Sushi and Atmosphere. The staff is super friendly and Jessie is an AMAZING server. We had the the Krab Rangoon and Hot & Sour soup appetizers both are excellent. The specialty Tuna roll tonight is beyond words delicious. This is hands down the best sushi we have had in the area!
